Rooms are very dated. Kitchen had no knives wasn't easy making dinner with a butter knife. Our initial apartment had broken lock on door and our 2 yo boy could let himself outside. The staff moved us to another apartment without a problem. The facilities for children are great. A nice new indoor pool and spa, trampoline and playground. Would only stay again for a stop over.

Likes the drive to the door with exit from room to corridor to inside. Bathrooms and room generally of a great standard. Service very average. Restaurant opened at 6.00pm. Tried to grab a quick meal before going to an external meeting and told it was fully booked. It was empty. Returned from meeting at 8.55pm and was told it was closed but I could ring for room service. Asked if the same kitchen cooked food for room service. Yes was the reply so asked to eat from the room service menu in the restaurant. No. Rang and has a soggy pizza in my room and saw it was $5.00 extra for tray to be delivered!!! How else were they proposing to deliver it I wondered. Just put the full price please as I resent paying extra for an obvious service!!
I may try one of the newer establishments next time. The gym and pool are great as is the squash court if you want these things but???

Room Tip: If you have a car ask for a room you can drive to.

Our room wasn't very clean and was worn and dated. We were a family of five and the basic supplies provided in the room definitely didn't take this into account (e.g. drink and bathroom provisions were very slim/stingy). The kids enjoyed the swimming pool and the in ground trampoline though. There was also an obstacle course and playground that we didn't have time to go to. We paid extra for the buffet breakfast. This was pretty average and, unless you're a big eater, hard to see value for money.

This is a surprisingly large hotel, spread out over large grounds. My room was somewhat of a surprise as you drive around and park right in front of the door, just like a motel, yet the room has another door at the opposite end which opens to a hotel corridor. Must be me, but never seen this before, and bluntly a neat idea.
The building is a little older, although it appears they have worked hard to keep the interior up to date. Certainly my room appeared to be in either a newer wing, or had been renovated.
They have a driving range, pool, spa, outdoor play area and volleyball to my knowledge. Bar and restaurant on site.
Sadly room didn't have a "comfy" chair to watch TV with, plus the bed looked a bit saggy, which did show in an aching back after a couple of days. Walls are a bit thin!
I would use again though, as overall a good place to stay.

We checked in and while the receptionist forgot to give us our envelope with vouchers and information we had a great time. We used the bar and the restaurant and when the wine wasn't to one of our liking they happily gave us a couple of others to try. Very accommodating. The value of the pack was outstanding, accommodation with breakfast included, spa pool, all the other facilities and a free glass of wine each as well as a wine tasting at Gladstone Vineyard with a free platter (plenty for 2 - enough for 4!) and a free glass of wine each. Thoroughly recommend it. We also received vouchers for $20 off at a local shop. Will do it again.

Room Tip: By the cafe gives you late sun and with the doors open quite a lovely spot for a quick drink to wind...

We enjoyed our one night at the Copthorne Solway Park. This is our 2nd stop and would do it again whenever we are in the area. A few days next time and use as a base for relaxing and enjoying more of the sights in the Wairarapa.
The breakfast was a great start to our three hour trip to Napier.

flew into wellington ,picked up a car and made this hotel our first night stop.
It is right on the edge of Masterton, and handy to the town.
Nice and clean ,comfortable rooms, friendly staff ..
A nice pool and gym area, but we did not use them
we decided to stay in house for tea so went down to the restaurant .In our opinion this was a real let down, nothing special at all .I am sure they could do a lot better.
The next day went in for breakfast and this was right up with the best, plenty to choose from, both hot and cold food.
A nice place to stay ,but tea let it down a bit.
