Just two minutes from the highway and you are here.......in a lovely, peaceful country setting!

My friendly and helpful hosts, fabulous amenities, the clean and tasteful surroundings - all made my stay so very pleasant. Thank you very much.

I'm looking forward to coming back later in the year.

I was delighted with the view we got from the cottage, looking out on to a paddock & orchard. Only a couple minutes from Carterton town but made you feel like you were in the country. Room was modern & very clean. Hosts Jim & Sylvia were very friendly & helpful, nothing seemed to be a hassle for them. Felt it was value for money.
I will definetly stay again & will be recommending it to my friends.

Have stayed here on more than one occasion and every time we leave feeling completely relaxed. The location is very peaceful and tranquil. The country setting is an ideal spot to unwind and get away from the rigours of city life. Has excellent amenities with full kitchen and a very large bathroom. The hosts are friendly and approachable with a excellent knowledge of the area and local attractions. Highly recommend a visit to the terracotta lodge.

we spent 2 nights at Terracotta lodge and had a fantastic break from the madness of the world. So quiet and relaxing. The room was clean and the décor was modern and tasteful. The shower was huge and so clean. The owners live next door but they leave you in peace to enjoy the farmlike surrounds.
Shrek and his woolly mate were in the paddock next door and many fruit trees in the orchard. Very reasonable tariff and so close to Greytown with it's awesome boutique shops. Only 5 mins up the road.
we gorged on the local raspberries and had the best breakfast in Greytown at Jack and Jills - (Greytown seems to be open on sundays). We will be back!!
I can't imagine where the previous reviewer stayed? I think it must have been somewhere else!!!

A very disappointing experience. On arrival I was told by the owner that he had forgotten about my booking!! which had been made by phone only a couple of days before. The room was full of flies, both alive and dead, there was no hot water for a shower, the room was not made up despite a prior request. The bedside lamps didn't work, the continental breakfast was two slices of white bread and a can of peaches (together with a can opener that didn't work), and I wrote my name in the dust on the headboard. Tiles fallen off in the shower, which was not clean, the shelf in the bathroom falling off the wall were further indications of poor maintenance, poor cleaning and poor attention to detail. To top it off, payment could only be made by cash or cheque (or an immediate direct credit to their account from the computer in a spare bedroom). This was a thoroughly unprofessional and almost surreal representation of a 'lodge".

We recently stayed here and completely enjoyed our stay. The accommodation was lovely and comfortable, great bathroom, and the setting was very tranquil and relaxing. It has a very private and welcoming feel about it. We will stay again when we come back down to Carterton.

Just a 3 minutes drive from Carterton town centre in the Wairarapa, this lodge has built a number of cottages in its grounds. It's a great location for exploring Martinborough, Greytown and all of the Wairarapa. The cottages look like typical late 19th century New Zealand cottages but are just a year old though settled among fruit trees with views onto neighbouring paddocks. Their modernity means they're homely, clean and despite roaring winds we experienced the weekend we were there, inside you had no idea it was windy outside.

Very spacious inside with tasteful colours and furnishings and are very comfortable for a family of four with a single bedroom and a fold-out double bed in the lounge. Nice added touches are the tv with dvd player and stereo and an outside barbecue for use. Definitely a cut above the average NZ cottage that you can rent and hosts Jim & Sylvie were very welcoming and helpful.

Definitely a home away from home.
