We have spent 6 nights in one very peculiar Italian island Favignana next to Trapani town in Sicily.
You can quickly reach Favignana with 30 min fast boat. Favignana is the biggest island on the Egadi arcipelago and it is embedded in the most attractive sea natural park where you can enjoy really beautiful swim and snorkeling, diving; sea life is really among the best I could ever seen in Mediterraneo. Sea colour is amazing and sea bed rich of life.
If you like diving than you have plenty rocks from where to enjoy. Cala Rossa, Cala Rotonda, Cala Grande, Faraglioni are only some of the most popular locations.
We stayed three nights in Dimora Cala del Pozzo. The management is welcoming, supportive and attentive to your need. You can rent a scooter or a bike which help to run all around the island to discover its beauty. Cleaning and attention to details is at the highest level I've ever experienced; room, bathrooms and room's patio are spacious and provide highest level of privacy. Breakfast is very good and rich in variety consider also that everything you can eat is origin from the local farms, almond milk, pastry of the day homemade, local cheese, local fruit, and bread made with local organic grain... these are details not for all and make Dimora Cala del Pozzo one real boutique hotel. The Dimora is located in the more peaceful side of the island; only at 5 min walking from the seaside, and 20 min biking from the village, immersed into the mediterranean environment surrounded by grain yard, wine yards, agave.... astonishing sunset view from Dimora in front of the island of Marettimo. Dimora Cala del Pozzo is in front of the sea on the less crowded part of the island, peaceful and Mediterranean flavor and fragrance are the owners and envelope you and your company like in a magic world. From Dimora you can reach the sea in 5 min and dive in clear water without crowd around. I can't avoid to recommend this experience.

Room tip: any room has tis own peculiarity...

The B&B is in an ideal location, being quite "far" from the hustle & bustle of the city center but still easily reachable with a 10 minute drive - I would strongly recommend to rent either a scooter or a car during your stay
The breakfast is out of this world - I think we gained 2-3kg during our stay
Both the rooms and the "common" areas are tastefully decorated
Few tips:
- wifi needs to be improved, rarely worked during our stay
- improve functionality of the rooms eg shelves in the rooms would be a good addition

Spent a lovely week at this beautiful boutique hotel. Everything is new, but done to be sensitive to the surroundings and integrated to the old farm house and surrounding landscape.

The staff are super friendly and go out of their way to make you feel at home and the stay as easy as possible.

The rooms are well appointed with safes, power showers, air conditioning, minibar. No TV, but that's no miss. Each has a private terrace area with seating and ours had an outdoor bath as an unexpected bonus.

Breakfast is a particular delight with a simple but delicious spread and a choice of fresh juices and eggs how you like them. My wife particularly enjoyed the fresh cakes and fruits. Iced water is available on tap 24/7.

There is a restaurant attached to the hotel via a walkway. It is open for dinner, but expensive. We'd recommend the apertivo with nibbles at sunset but eating in Favignana most days.

The gardens and communal areas are beautifully done - think landscaped desert!

Things to note: there is no pool and outside the two lidos on the island you probably want reef shoes for the rocks and to seek / bring shade. The hotel will sort car / scooter hire which we'd recommend if you want to explore the island in the summer or eat out as its a good 10 minute drive to the town, further to Cala Rossa etc.
