Attraction details
Owner description: The Quignones Farm & Cellar extends on the southern side of the hill of Sant'Oliva, facing the Mediterranean Sea and occupies approximately 100 hectares of land, surrounding Licata (AG). Strategic location, the extensive vegetation, the extraordinary view on the coast of Licata that can be seen from the hill, make a pleasant tasting and a tour of the winery. Lunch and wine tasting.

“Best wine tasting-ever!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 8 March 2014 via mobile

Do not miss this wonderful experience. The four of us booked this with Graziana who was so welcoming and helpful that we knew it would be good. Alfredo, the owner met us in Licata and directed us to his Winery halfway up a hill overlooking the town of Licata. We were greeted by Graziana and Angelo, the cellar man, who gave us a comprehensive tour and guide to the Winery. Angelo then hosted our lunch which began with a plate of bread drenched with their olive oil. The taste was amazing and we knew we were in for a good experience. Then we tasted a wonderful rose wine and white wine as we were overwhelmed by a vast array of antipasto. As we ate it Angelo left us to prepare a BBQ. Delicious pork and sausages cooked over a vine wood fire. All this was accompanied by a lovely red wine. Then Alfredo joined us to talk about the history of the Winery and his plans for the future. He completed our meal with two chocolate treats to complement a wonderful dessert red wine. It was a perfect experience and we hope to visit again sometime soon.

“The rare possibility to get knowledge and plesure in one spot”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 8 February 2014

We have been in Aziende with group of sailors, who are wintering in Licata. We found this place as very attractive possibility to learn about work on winery. Our host Mr Alfredo Quignones told us about work with wine production traditional way.. After some hour of lecture we have had possibility to test Quignones wines during supper, which was a part of this event. Again, he served us traditional Sicilian food, and what was very nice, he was clearly proud of introducing to us Sicilian traditions. Fantastic evening for nice price (15 euro). Worth much more...
