What a beautiful room! A lot of labor and love when into the design and
building. It is so very peaceful up here and we enjoyed watching all of the
lovely birds. I've never seen so many hummingbirds in one place. Great
breakfast, as always.
We really enjoyed being around such kind, generous, and positive people like
you!
Thank you for a most enjoyable stay.

Lucinda's Country Inn earns every one of the wonderful reviews. The hosts are delightful, the rooms are very comfortable, and the breakfasts are delicious and enormous. This B & B is a great base for wine tasting in the region, or just getting away from the hustle and bustle. We are looking forward to our next visit.

Truly no drawbacks exist with this establishment. The owners and staff are not only personally hospitable but also cook great food. The accommodations are above average and amenities are superb, with an expansive DVD library, no corkage fees, and even free wine with the proprietors upon check-in. These folks are truly trying to create a family atmosphere and do so with true genuineness and love.

Room Tip: Classic bed and breakfast; no matter what you choose, you'll be happy.

Lucinda's Country Inn is our favorite quick get-a-way. It is only 2 hours from our home and provides that complete disconnect from daily pressing issues. The wine tasting in the area is our attraction but there is also hiking, golfing, shopping all it a rural, gold country setting. The decks on each room are perfect for "happy hour" or just reading. The rooms are unusually large and quiet. The individual HVAC systems are as quiet or quieter than those in your home. It is peaceful! The beds are comfortable and king. The breakfast is large and always excellent. The hospitality of Cindy and Daryl is why we return over and over for those life restoring visits.

Room Tip: These rooms are all great and we've stayed in them all.

My daughter and her friend, invited us (moms) to wine tasting in Fair Play. We had a very comfortable stay at Lucinda's. The next day we had a delightful breakfast. Both Cindy and her husband were very gracious to us and we had a wonderful stay. I would definitely go back. In fact, we did stop in on Father's Day but all were out except for one guest. Thanks for a very enjoyable evening and day. Very clean and homey.

Room Tip: The beach room looked fun. We stayed in the wine room and it was wonderful. Nice shower.

This was our first trip to a B&B and it was amazing! First Cindy (Lucinda) and her husband Daryl make you feel like you are a personal houseguest. Every little detail has been thought of-from the home cooked breakfast to the popcorn and hot chocolate in every guest room. The Inn was actually built as a B&B so every room is comfortable, spacious and well-appointed. We stayed in a suite that included a big jetted tub (and yes we used it) as well as a fireplace (used that too). So many thoughtful touches throughout the Inn, like tons of movies in the library and a happy hour on the weekends! We also took advantage of a catered dinner by "personal chef" Sean-and it rivaled dinners we have had in very high-end restaurants. The inn is located in Fairplay-which has several nice wineries...additionally it is only about 20 minutes from the Shenandoah Valley/Plymouth area, which has a number of boutique wineries. Perfect home base for a wine tasting vacation with friends or family. This is pretty out-of-the-way, but the trade off is that you are in a very quiet semi-forested area with plenty of serenity (and some cool deer sightings). Cannot say enough good things about this place-forgot to mention it was built to be "green" and is operated in a very environmentally conscious manner too!

Room Tip: The Inn only has a few rooms and they are all well-appointed, but there are stairs so if mobility is...

We have stayed at the B&B twice and last time we took friends and they enjoyed there stay and will definitely be back. We love the Laguna room is our favorite. The shower is absolutely amazing you feel like you are at the beach. The floor looks like sand! The rooms are spacious and spotless. The Host Daryl and Lucinda provide a really nice happy hour for their guest with their favorite white and red wine in the area with pairing snacks. The breakfast is served at 9:00am and you pick out your favorite mug for coffee/tea and Lucinda makes one of her home made recipes. Everything is always superb! I have stayed at several B&B's in the area, but this one is a keeper! After you stay so many nights you get a freebie. Who doesn't love a freebie!!!
