Would have scored higher but for room allocation. In a back corner overlooking "dumping ground" in garden and road which was quite noisy morning and evening. Location is great though very little going on in immediate vicinity, and staff were really friendly and helpful. Would recommend careful checking of room location when booking as not all rooms are equal.

Room Tip: Try and ensure facing pool/sea

My husband and I have just returned from a fantastic weeks holiday in Santorini. The hotel and the staff were excellent. The food although buffet style was gorgeous and varied . One of the few hotels where you're not charged for the use of the safe in the room and your given beach towels which you can change every two days. We will return.

We visited this hotel last week for our annual summer holiday. We arrived after a long journey, in fairly warm temperatures. The hotel was very attractive, painted in pastel colours to complement the climate. We were a little disappointed that we didn't receive a welcome drink, as we normally do in other Greek resorts we have visited. Even a glass of col water would have Ben refreshing! Our rooms were fairly basic but we had everything we needed. The bathroom was very small, the bath wasnt full size but the shower over it was fine and hot most days. Food was brilliant, lots of variety every day, the waiting staff were excellent! Special mention to the 2 male waiters who were fab!! Facilities were again fab, we ate at the pool bar most lunch times.. Food brilliant and staff very helpful. Pools were clean and refreshing as was the beach. The sand gets very hot so beach shoes a must! Big shout out to Kelly's cocktail bar next door to the hotel!! The kids loved the cocktails( we loved Happy Hour) . We used the local buses to travel all over Santorini. We went to Thira one day and then Oia via Thira. A definite must for travellers to Santorini! We had a blast in Santorini.. The hotel, weather and company was perfect!! Can't wait to go back!

We recently got married in Santorini and wanted a hotel which would appeal to us & our guests. The Santo Miramare was perfect and large enough that we were not all tripping over each other. The staff were all amazing and attended to our every need, nothing was too much.

We booked a transfer but arriving at the port there was no one to pick us up, we were offered a ride from an arty friendly man who collected strays and bundled them into his van for 20€ Per group. When we checked in I was disappointed that the room was more dated than I expected and the floor felt grimy. I have to say though that over the week you start to get used to the room. The outside of the buildings look great, and the pools are great. I honestly didn't like Santorini besides Oia and Amouldi Bay. The beach out the front of the hotel looks terrible, we sat in front of Tera Nera, nicer chairs which we didn't have to pay for as we ate ther, regularly, the yoghurt is so.. Good and the waffles to die for. As for the beach, I would not recommend Santorini as a beach holiday, we booked for a week here and couldn't wait to move on. We had already been to Mykonos and Paros which both have beautiful beaches. Walking on the beach in Santorini is difficult even in shoes. You sink into the extremely hot black rocks and they burn the sides of your feet. The water has too steep of a drop off for young kids. If I ever went back it would be for two nights in Oia and that's it. From Perivolis to Fira it's a long, windy, narrow road with slow bikes on it, buses are late so we got a car, you really need a car there. There are suburbs all the way from here to Fira. Fira to Oia is nicer. Santorini is very big and busy compared to Mykonos. Fira isn't so pretty it's good to have a shop there but it's nothing like Oia. In our week we stayed here I loved that my 3 year old had so much fun playing with other kids in the baby pool, but that was the best part about it. The breakfast was ok but it's such a big resort there was an onslaught of people every morning at breakfast. The staff at reception became more friendly as time went on. Cleaning staff and bar and breakfast staff were all friendly. The internet is terrible and really needs to be fixed for such a big hotel. You really have to sit on the one working computer they have on reception. Very and I mean very occasionally you can load a page at the lobby on your own devise but consider it that you have to use the computer provided if you need to go online. We often went to nearby restaurants to eat just to use the internet. I wouldn't stay again, but if I ever came back to Santorini as I said I would only do a couple of night in Oia. I would go back to Mykonos or Paros in a heartbeat as a beach holiday for a family.

What a great place, from the moment our transfer arrived we were treated like royalty. Reception was friendly, with bags taken to our room. Porter ensured we had everything and told us the locations of local mini markets etc. The location is right on the beach, with a pleasant stroll to Perissa only 30 mins away (4yr old pace).

The restaurant food was a good offer and every member of staff could not do enough for us. We loved the Island and grabbed a car for a few days, but the Santo Miramare made a great holiday FANTASTIC. We will be back
