My wife and I stayed at the hotel for a week attending a wedding in nearby villa Baroncino. From the moment we arrived nothing was too much for the staff. As others have commented, Sharon and Bruno make everything so easy. We arrived quite late but Bruno ensured the kitchen remained open long enough for us to get some dinner. Taxis were arranged and such like and all went to plan. The room we had was at the front of the hotel looking up the avenue to the entrance with a small balcony. It was good size, plenty of space for clothes and spotless. Air conditioning worked and was not noisy. Shower excellent. Plenty of nice white towels and a comfortable bed. A small fridge in the room allowed for storage of water, beer etc. As it was late July the campsite was pretty full but this was not a problem as there was little noise from the predominantly dutch campers. We only had one afternoon at the pool but it was fine with comfortable loungers. The meal we had at the hotel was very good and although we ate out on other nights in Passignano, the menu at the Kursaal was varied. Breakfast was simple with cereal, croissants, rolls, fruit, yogurts, hard boiled eggs and ham, cheese, salami. Plenty to keep you going!
It's a 15 minute walk into Passignano at most. Car access is excellent as the hotel is about 2 minutes off the main dual carriageway between Perugia and the junction for Florence and Rome .
Passignano itself is a small town but the week we were there had its annual Palio so lots going on each night. Plenty of restaurant choices also. It's all in all a good spot to base yourself if you want to travel around that part of Tuscany and Umbria as Passignano has a railway station near the centre of town which has direct connections to Florence and Perugia /Assisi .
