“Great food in charming Restaurant”
Reviewed 29 December 2010

If you are looking for an exceptional place on the Roussillon coast serving excellent dishes in an exceptional place, then you found the right place here. Jean-Paul Hartmann, is not only an excellent jogger you can meet on international marathons like the New York one, but he is also a great cook being able to prepare succulent food and desserts. Together with his wife they are now running the Restaurant L'Almandin and the Hotel "Ile de la Lagune" for quit some time and we have been having lunch and diner many times. As Jean-Paul's origins are from Alsace, you find regularly typical "alsacien" food on the menu, like on Thursdays where he serves typical Choucroute Garnie. But don't think you only get easy cooking traditional dishes here, the truth is that the quality and the preparation of the food is generally to be classified as high class and very delicious. Don't miss this one.

In case you do not get enough of it after having visited him, you may buy one of his cooking books and I am sure he will dedicate it as soon as he is visiting your table to make sure you were fully delighted.
