“Wasn't right choice of the hotel !”
Reviewed 3 March 2012

Friendly people - may be! Very Noisy rooms! No kitchenette in the small tiny room! Eco hotel providing Minimum of furniture. So our suitcases was on the flor! Far away from nice town! Bus only once was on time! Breakfast was terrible, Always black burned croissant, wasn't no chooses to eat simple normal food! But breakfast ... They even charged my 2 and 4 years old kids 15€ per person for breakfast... No variety on breakfast and kids was able to stick with black croissant!!!! No food in the room!!! Unbelievable - "breakfast is part of the business", they said! When we was checking in breakfast was 10€ when checking out - 15€!!! Very Good Business if you are 4 and staying there for 5 nights!!!! Unfortunatelly there is nothing to do in the hotel with the small kids. Belive me, we traveling with kids since they was one year old! Day before we stayed in Chamonix - everything was fantastic, after we stayed in Montreux - fantastic!!! I am not the person who is writing bad reviews... and I am very sorry about that, but this is what we experienced!!! May be hotel is good - but not for us! We didn't had a choise of hotels, everything was booked already! For me - the first worst experience ever! I'll never ever come back there, and to Las Carroz too, thanks to la Croix de Savoie! Dinners was good but Thanks to you Breakfast for this review!!!

Or notre établissement est hôtel classique.

Beautiful and comfortable rooms. Good service. Great restaurant with superb dishes if you do not book half-pension, half-pension dinner meal and setting very basic, but in line with pricing.

We had a four day visit with friends and the hotel has just been refurbished in a modern style. Our room was the mezzanine and had a warm and modern feel. I would advise paying the extra for a bath!
The food was plentiful and home cooked by Madame and the breakfast well laid out.
My Fiancee unfortunately had a bad back and the family even put a hard board under her side of the mattress! I have to say the family who run this hotel are very sweet and helpful and passionate about their guests having a good time. Overall this is a good hotel and I would recommend it.
The resort is pretty. We had such LOW temps, -25-30, which made it difficult to enjoy skiing. But the slopes at Les Carroz are great and the village is beautiful. Prices were about 3 euros for a hot chocolate in town.
Parking at the hotel was ample.
Overall a good experience.

Room Tip: get a room with a bath..Always great after skiing!

Whilst the hotel is a little out of town it is well worth a 10 minute walk (or free bus during the day). This is the best of both worlds - a peaceful location with no noise, but with all the action just a short walk away. The hotel has been constructed and is run with sustainability and ecology at the fore - and is very well done. The room was very modern and comfortable, the staff very friendly and welcoming. The restaurant is excellent and whilst appearing a little expensive (in reality only a few euros more than a starter and pizza in town), represents very good value. Food of this quality would be far more expensive in the UK. The wine list is well constructed, again offering wines that would be priced 2 to 3 times higher in the UK. The only problem - you will have to ski hard the next day to burn off the calories - for those on diets - they don't tell you about the 2 extra / free "Amusee" dishes - be warned! TIP: The half board package represents even better value. Interesting to note that quite a number of diners were not staying at the hotel - always a good sign. The only down side is that you may need to search for someone to get you a drink from the bar - but to be fair we went in early January and the whole resort was almost empty - there were only half a dozen guests in the hotel. It is now our hotel of choice in Les Carroz.

Room Tip: Treat yourself to the suite - not huge but just right - I've stayed in chalets for 8 that were s...

The staff were friendly and welcoming. Our room was clean, spacious, quiet and comfortable but had a large 'wet room' with a shower only and no bath. There were no non-French TV channels. The breakfast was buffet-style and excellent but we did not use the main restaurant in the evenings, preferring to dine at a lively brasserie in the village. The hotel provides a ski store but we preferred to leave boots and skis at the large and secure ski depot next to the main tele-cabine in the village. Bear in mind that the hotel is described as being 1 km from the village but the uphill walk back to the hotel feels further!

Lovely hotel, excellent and friendly staff. As a lone traveller it's always more difficult, and not knowing the ski area makes it more hassle, but having a hotel wiliing to allow me to leave stuff after I checked out and even shower when I came back to pick things up was a real help. I would definitely return with my famoily.

First of all, the service is the worst I´ve ever experienced. There´s no heating int he rooms, the hairdryer doesn´t work, the kitchen and the bar are always closed (you can´t have a coke or a sandwich after skiing), the cleaning isn´t good (they don´t sweep), the WIFI is TOO EXPENSIVE because the make you pay for it per computer or mobile (10 euros a day), the breakfast has no variety (the croissants are always burnt) and they charge you 6 euros more for a hot breakfast... The bus doesn´t stop frequently so you must like walking in the freezing cold. I could continue forever telling you things like these...

ADVICE: don´t be stupid and don´t go there

I would give them a zero if I could.......

Room Tip: you must phone the hotel to find out if they have heating, if they have the bar open, and all those...
