The owner cooks the meal on an open fire.
Large slabs of meat, very nice salmon and sea food, salad, potatoes.
This is a unique restauramt and quite a treat.
But it takes a while to prepare ao don't arrive hungry!
The atmosphere is super. Lovely setting, pretty indoors.
The only drawback is the size of the tables, they ar small. Also the high stools aren't really very comfortable.
That said, this is a real treat.
Book early. They fill up fast.

Five of us ate here and we booked in advance as it it a very small little restaurant. The steaks were tender and there was plenty for everyone to have a sample. The scallops were sweet and there were so many of them. All the food was cooked in front of us. We were given a warm welcome from the chef on arrival and enjoyed watching him cook on the fire. There is a great atmosphere, a busy hum of people, a good sound track and children were welcomed. I would recommend the bone marrow as well. Theres not much for veggies here unless you like just a baked potato and salad but i will be returning for the steak.

We have been there several times, and we think this little grill restaurant is amazing. We like the concept of the meat done on the grill and what comes with it like jacked potato and salad. It's a wonderfullittle place that attracts a lot of local people which is a good sign. For the nicer evenings there is a lovely terrace.

When you enter the Gron it is akin to entering an indoor barbecue where the owner spends his evenings hosting his guests perfectly whilst cooking on an open fire. the place is very small so it is very unusual to bag a table without a prior reservation. The menu is not huge but then you wouldn't expect it to be when everything is cooked on the fire in front of your eyes. Two tips:# 1 wear layers as it gets so hot as the evening progresses. #2 choose the duck breast cooked rose - it's to die for!!

We visited this restaurant last week after a recommendation from friends. The menu is mainly steaks with a couple of fish options. The food is cooked on an open grill within full view of the customer which adds to the atmosphere. Everything we ordered tasted excellent and the couple who run the restaurant were both friendly and hospitable. We had children with us but I felt the menu did not really cater for them. A steak meal to share wasn't quite enough and would've been too much on their own. It was slightly on the pricey side but I would happily visit again.
