Very enjoyable stay at Murphy's. Thanks to hosts Paul & Mary. Short stay August 2013. Very clean. Good food & drink. The "Craic" & hospitality is very good in the true Irish tradition. Well situated for visitors to Knock. Good location for touring counties Sligo, Mayo, Donegal etc.
We will return.

Room Tip: Number 12 was fine by us, Twin Room. Quiet at night.

Lovely people, very caring staff, tubbercurry is nice to wander about and lovely scenery locally. Close to good beach enniscrone, sligo town and loch talt. Food is nice and great breakfast. There is a lovely welcoming atmosphere in Murphy's hotel and a great sense of customer care. M Gaffney

Murphy's ticked all the needs for a family trip. Excellent location on the main street (separate secure parking), bang next to SPAR (also run by Paul and family), clean large rooms and awesome Irish breakfasts. The hotel has a bar to wind down in after a long day of sight seeing. There is a restaurant which serves up gourmet food and if you're inclined, then just across the street there is Indian food. A Chinese takeaway is 100m down the road.

Paul and Mary make it a point to give all their guests a personal touch. All in all a fantastic time was had by my family in this lovely value for money hotel. High five to Murphy's in Tobercurry and another one to Sligo.

Room Tip: The family rooms are at the back and therefore no street traffic noise.

I stayed in Murphy's Hotel for the South Sligo Summer school in July and I must say that the accommodation was very good and the staff were excellent - very friendly and nothing was any trouble.

I only had one meal in the hotel and that was decent 'burger and chips'-type fare - breakfasts were plentiful and excellent.

The hotel is in a very central location with convenient supermarket and other pubs and restaurants nearby - I would certainly consider staying again if a I return to Tubbercurry.

Stayed at this hotel the night before we flew out from Knock airport to Malaga. Had a fabulous, spacious triple room. The manager, Paul, went out of his way to accommodate us. Although breakfast service does not start until 8am and we needed to be at the airport for 8am, he made sure that we had breakfast served at 7.30am. We used the shuttle service to the airport, which was excellent as we were left to airport and picked up again and were able to park our car at hotel. Did have a few drinks in the bar and staff very efficient and friendly. Would recommend this hotel and I would definitely use again.

I had a wonderful stay at Murphy's during the recent South Sligo Summer School. The location is so central and convenient, the room was lovely, spacious, and very comfortable, and Paul and family were friendly, welcoming, helpful and very hospitable. I also got to hear lots of wonderful session music late at night without leaving my room! I will definitely be staying again.

Great place for sleep over in South Sligo - The hotel staff were friendly, the room was comfortable, and breakfast was lovely. A good rate for the room too.

The lift in the hotel is not available for guests to use, so moving big bags requires some effort (although the owner took our bags up to the room for us). The Hotel shares a car-park with the local supermarket, which is closed from around 11:30pm to 8:00am every night, so if you come back in late, or need to leave early you may need to find parking else where in the town.

We at Murphy's hotel always seek to make our customers feel at home and to exceed their expectations. We are a small family owned and managed hotel in Tubbercurry, north west of Ireland. Yes we make mistakes, things don't always go as well as planned or intended. But what we try to do is rectify things if they do go wrong within reasonable expectation.
