We, 2 women, spent 3 days in Lacoste staying, of course at Le Clos des Lavandes. We loved the quaint room with special touches and the kindness of Marie and Michel. The breakfast was the best of any B&B we stayed at as were the comfortable beds. We definitely will recommend this to others and look forward to returning to France and this B&B. The location, once you find it, is perfect, easy to access most other roads. By the way, we are from Massachusetts and drove thru Provence following Rick Steeves travel advice.

Room Tip: In Provence we quickly figured out the round-abouts. Just follow the road to the next town and forge...

I spent two days with Marie and Michel. They were great hosts, running a lovely, tastefully decorated and very clean guest house. I particularly appreciated their ambitions to help me out as a tourist in the region, telling me which places were worth visiting and where to eat. I loved the breakfast (with self made jam by Marie which was phantasmic).
In case I get the chance to travel the Provence again, I'll know where to stay.

When we first time have seen Le Clos des Lavendes on internet and compared with other B&B in Luberon -- LCL was our tip. Excellent location and very friendly owner made our trip to Provence very enjoible.
Very clean place, lovely garden and good breakfast.
We'll sure recommend this place to our friends.

At 98 Euros a night you don't expect luxury. But we found Le Clos des Lavandes comfortable, the rooms are very well thought out, and spotlessly clean. The garden is a delight and a lovely place to have breakfast. My only complaint is they don't take credit cards and we couldn't make a reservation unless we had Paypal. But since we only needed a room for a Sunday in September, we took the chance that they would have a vacancy and had a delightful visit.

Room Tip: As far as I know all the rooms are the same. You might ask for a room on the garden.

The pictures don't lie: A very comfy place, clean, well groomed and decorated BUT I should have seen the warning signals. The booking was tiring and overly suspicious, as were the demand for pre-pay and the maximum security feel of the place, bolted and locked, though situated in a peaceful village. Breakfast is homemade but you never feel like home - you feel the FAUX of it all and the owner is cold and creepy. No reason what so ever to choose an accommodation that is so inhospitable. The bad vibes linger even months away.

It is a pity to read a review like that. You write one year after your stay: do you think “bad vibes” are for the clos des lavandes…
You had booked 2 rooms for 4 people.
In your review, you have forgot to say that the first day, you arrived at 10 o'clock in the morning: it is not possible to have a room at this time. We have a bed and breakfast, it's not the same service as an hôtel.
At night you have used the terrace for breakfast for your dinner: you have disturbed everybody.
Fortunately for us, our guests, who like the location for its comfort, quietness, cleanliness, quality of breakfast and for the beautiful garden. If you read other review, you can see that a lot of people say we are very friendly . Sorry for you, that you have not seen it all.

I and my wife stayed for six night in this charming place and had got unforgettable good memories in our life. The location was easy to find even we came from a concrete city. It nears many famous villages in the Luberon area such as Lacoste and Menerbes. When you enter to the premise you will see a fantastic garden with many Provençal outdoor decoration and plants. Mr. Bordier gave us a warm reception and showed us our specified room 'Cigales'. There is a private garden in front of the room with fantastic view to the garden. The room was spacious, comfortable and has beautiful interior decoration. The decoration really reflected the Provençal style and completely blended in. Every single detail of the room, like the door handle, furniture, linen, etc. was just wonderful and charming. You will not find anything that should not belong to this area (pls. see other B&B, you will find somethings terrible like modern table lamp). Breakfast was delicious. The homemade jam by Mr. Bordier's wife Marie was excellent. Marie was very lovely and she introduced many Provençal specialities to us. We met Michel and Marie everyday and they teach basic French and introduced some Provence's interest to us. We also met some guests which were mature and kind. (We really don't understand the mindset of people who dropping poor rating to this B&B in Trip Advisor. The rules of the B&B were very reasonable and the most important thing is, the rules were clearly stated in the booking form where a civilized and mature human being should be awarded and respected to) We always enjoyed the quiet and peace of this charming place in the private garden. You will hear the sound of nature like inserts, frog and water flow. We never sleep and live better in our whole life before even in our Hong Kong mid-level sweat home. After the six days stay we went to Arles and still cannot forget this place. We loved this place and will definitely come back sometime in coming years.
