What a marvellous find! After spending 5 nights at le clos des lavandes, the only regret my husband and I had was that it was over so soon; we could easily have stayed another week or two had time and work permitted. Set in picturesque surroundings, the tranquillity of the place has no equal. Close enough to amenities, yet far enough not to be disturbed by traffic or any other noise; all you hear is the chirping of the crickets. The fact that there was secure private parking on the property for all guests was another definite bonus, having just come from the very busy Côte d’Azur, where parking was a bit of a nightmare. Le clos des lavandes is a dream property, with a lovely garden and your own private terrace to relax on. The room we stayed in (Luberon) was very spacious and tastefully decorated, with ample storage space and a fully stocked mini-bar. The en-suite bathroom with walk in shower area is also perfectly suitable – and everything is kept immaculately clean.

Both Marie and Michel (and of course Pomponette) were very friendly hosts, always happy to spend some time chatting at breakfast. They were also very helpful with advice on places to visit for excursions - we certainly could not have felt more welcome. Breakfast more than lived up to expectations and was of excellent quality and quantity. We would definitely like to visit again sometime.

If you’re looking for a wonderfully relaxing and quiet time in charming surroundings, look no further, le clos des lavandes is the place for you!

MIchelle and Marie have an impossibly pretty garden which was full of lavender in full bloom when we stayed for two weeks at the beginning of July. Our room was large, cool and clean with a private area to sit in the shade and enjoy the quiet gardens. Breakfast was beautifully presented al fresco with pretty china and home made cakes and preserves, meats and cheeses and fresh fruit/croissants. Marie and Michelle are perfect hosts and their property is ideally situated to enjoy the amazing village of Lacoste with the wonderful Cafe de Sade which we enjoyed on several visits during our holiday. Perhaps the English visitors will appreciate a reminder that the French do not put tea/coffee making facilities into the rooms so if you want to make your own drinks/snacks then self catering might suit you better.

A lovely country house in the Luberon. I spent a couple of days with a friend in July, and it was very pleasant being guest of Marie and Michel. The rooms were large and confortable, decorated and refined in any details. The breakfast was superb, as it was abundant and assortied of fresh productsevery day. On top of that, the Marie and Michel have been very friendly and always open to help us with suggestions and advices to visit the lavande area.

My wife and I spent several great days here in June of 2013 - I apologize for taking so long to review. This was an excellent experience. The room was very comfortable and looked out on beautiful garden of lavender, rosemary, thyme, roses and a fountain. Our hosts were very helpful in making suggestions for places to see and also provided wonderful breakfasts each morning. Altogether a wonderful time in a beautiful region of France. Will certainly stay again.

I and my wife had stayed 8 nights at this charming place this year. We had visited there last year and now we were back for longer stay. Absolutely charming and probably we will not stay anywhere other than this place for our coming visit to Luberon. Ideal location for touring around Luberon. Quiet surrounding with nice garden view. The owners Michel and Marie are great. You can see my previous report. Highly recommended.

We, 2 women, spent 3 days in Lacoste staying, of course at Le Clos des Lavandes. We loved the quaint room with special touches and the kindness of Marie and Michel. The breakfast was the best of any B&B we stayed at as were the comfortable beds. We definitely will recommend this to others and look forward to returning to France and this B&B. The location, once you find it, is perfect, easy to access most other roads. By the way, we are from Massachusetts and drove thru Provence following Rick Steeves travel advice.

Room Tip: In Provence we quickly figured out the round-abouts. Just follow the road to the next town and forge...

I spent two days with Marie and Michel. They were great hosts, running a lovely, tastefully decorated and very clean guest house. I particularly appreciated their ambitions to help me out as a tourist in the region, telling me which places were worth visiting and where to eat. I loved the breakfast (with self made jam by Marie which was phantasmic).
In case I get the chance to travel the Provence again, I'll know where to stay.
