Stayed to be close to Nottingham. Just 20 minutes drive to the town centre. Ideal for our stay.

Clean but very dated. Seperate toilet to the bathroom.

Staff were ALL very pleasant and helpful.

Only gripe was a small thing. Breakfast was fantastic. free with the price. My wife had the vegetarian sausage but didn't realise it was quorn. Alot of people are allergic to Quorn so it would have helped if they would have advertised it as quorn sausage. Like I say. Small gripe!

Great if you want to be away from the noise of the town centre

Wanted to visit the Peak District so booked in at the Novotel Nottingham. We often use Novotel because they are the only chain that have family rooms and children under 16 eat breakfast free. Good Location for the Peak District, Derby and Nottingham if you have a car and the hotel staff were very friendly and attentive. It was up to normal Novotel standards apart from the rooms are a little tired, I am guessing the hotel was built in the 70's, but clean and tidy. The breakfast was not the best we have had in a Novotel. The hot food buffet seemed to have been waiting around a long time even though the hotel was busy, but we have had much worse. We would certainly consider staying again.

my biggest problem was sleep. the sofa bed i slept on was verry uncomfortable. i think you should make the toilet and the sink in the same room. i think the location you picked for the hotel was amazing and the brekfast tasted great. i loved the varity and the tiny pots of jam! the only bad thing was the juice.

I stayed for 2 nights and chose the hotel for value and location, it is 25 minutes from where I was working. The rooms are a little tired but very spacious and comfortable. I really liked the fact that there was a lobby area with the toilet leading off and then another door into the bedroom with bathroom off. This meant that corridor noise was unheard and led to a great nights sleep.

Lots or working space and a sofa which I assume turned into a bed for a family room. However only one usable socket on the work area which wasn't very convenient.

Breakfast was good and food plentiful. First morning I was greeted at the door of the restaurant and told sit where you like. Nothing was explained and I wasn't sure what I needed to do re getting a coffee. I spied a table with jugs of coffee and helped myself to some lukewarm coffee only to discover later that it was set up for a coach party! The next morning completely different, a different greeter took me to a table, explained how it worked and brought me coffee. Shame this great standard wasn't there the day before.

Got a great deal on the price and most staff were pleasant and helpful. I would stay again if obtained a similar price.

We stayed here for a short break and whilst the decor might be slightly faded as some reviewers say don't let that put you off. For the price we paid via the internet this was great value. The hotel might have seen better years but that is a minor point as it was very clean and well run. The staff were great with my son Ben and daughter Kate and the breakfast buffet was lovely. We would happily return.

For the price of this hotel, it was pretty good. The rooms are dated and need a bit more life and character, but it was clean. The outdoor pool was nice in the warm weather. Our room was on the bottom floor quite close to reception and we sometimes heard a bit of noise from people walking past but that is to be expected. We didn't have breakfast or any food there so we can't comment on that.

This is a lovely hotel but very very dated the artex walls let it down but the service from staff was expetional the duty manager was very freindly and helpful even when our daughter was whinging about the free gift for kids - he went and found her an alternative! The rooms were very clean and well presented and as long as you are able to look past the very outdated decor you will have a lovely stay. i would NOT recommend shelling out for breakfast as it was cheap sausages bacon etc and over cooked/left on hot plate - so much so we had our money repaid - a little disappointing - the continetal breakfast was fine if you can get that seperatly. the outdoor swimming pool was a bit shabby but in true brit spirit my kids thought it was the bees knees!!!
