Hotel Novotel Nottingham Derby
Ranked #1 of 2 Hotels in Long Eaton
Reviewed 30 November 2013

The hotel is about 10 miles from Nottingham city centre, but very convenient for the M1 and easy to find. The hotel decor is dated, with a 70s feel, but my room was clean, spacious and well-equipped, right down to an ironing board and iron. Nice flat screen tv and reasonable range of freeview programmes. The bed was large, and comfortable.
An additional sofa bed provided a comfortable place to sit and relax whilst watching tv.
Free wi-fi in the room was a reasonable speed. I didn't sample dinner, but the breakfast spread was comprehensive, well-prepared and delicious, The car park does not drain well and the area directly in front of the entrance and reception had a large puddle which was difficult to avoid.
Check-in was efficient and check-out on departure was automatic (vat invoice pushed under the door) for a speedy departure, which was much appreciated.
This hotel is good value at the price.

Staffs are super nice, rooms are a bit dated. Good value for money if you booked the hotel for under £50. Easy to navigate (through google map). Plenty parking spaces.
Make sure you get a room with a nice view

Room Tip: try ask staff to not give you a room with car park view.

Good location, just off the M1 junction. The hotel is looking dated, all the walls are covered in artex, probably to hide the cracks, the plumbing is noisy, but the rooms are large and clean. The wifi is slow and the TV reception is not brilliant. The breakfast is very good, one of the best hotel breakfasts I've had, but the evening meals are bland, the menu unimaginative and the prices quite high. But the staff are friendly and helpful.

Room Tip: The top floor has less plumbing noise

Went on a National holiday weekend to Warwick castle & Chatsworth 23/24 November. The trip was excellent Warwick castle is very interesting and is suitable for all ages. Plenty going on and the grounds well kept. We stayed overnight at the Novotel Nottingham East Midlands, the staff were very polite and friendly, the evening meal was delicious, good choice well presented and hot for mass catering it was excellent the breakfast in the morning just as good. The rooms were clean and in good condition I would be happy to return. We went to Chatsworth the next day where there was a Christmas market going on. We went into the house were the theme was the magic of Narnia very beautiful but far too busy you could not see everything properly due to the vast crowds but this did not effect the day. The coach driver Brad was very funny and polite. excellent weekend well recommended

The breakfast was the best we have had in many years of staying at Novotels.
