“A gem in the heart of Aberlour”
Reviewed 9 June 2014 for a stay in June 2014

This cottage is in the heart of the village and is the perfect place to stay for your holiday in Aberlour. We found the cottage very comfortable and well appointed with everything we needed. There is plenty of room inside with 3 bedrooms, dining kitchen and a nice lounge with large sofas. It also has a fantastic outside seating area to relax in the evening.
The owners, Stan and Liz were near by and were very welcoming and very happy to help with anything we needed.
We have already booked again for next year :)

“Family and dog friendly - excellent”
Reviewed 29 May 2014 for a stay in May 2014

Lovely comfortable house, clean, modern, warm and well equipped. Aberlour is great for young children and a dog if you love the outdoors. Owners Liz and Stan are full of local info and very kind and friendly.

“Perfectly located and very friendly owner”
Reviewed 17 May 2014 for a stay in May 2014

We just came back from a week´s stay at Miniver Rose. The location is very ideal for short trips, walks or visits to the many Whisky distilleries in the area. Everything you need for your stay is just a stone throw away from the cottage (butcher, supermarket, good speciality food store, pub) and if you want to you can walk along the Speyside Way to the next village and have some drams at the Craigallachie Hotel, the Highlander Inn or the Fiddichside Inn.

Stan (the owner - his wife Liz had to work, so we couldn´t meet her) was very friendy and helpfull. He had some really good tipps on what to do or where to go. He even bought a nice small new BBQ for our stay. He lives next door, so you could just go there if anything was missing or help was needed.

I would definitely stay there again if going back to the Speyside.

“Fishing Trip”
Reviewed 6 May 2014 for a stay in April 2014

Our group on a weekly fishing trip stayed at the Minver Rose, as opposed to a hotel which we have done for many years.
The accommodation was in my opinion spotless. It had the look of a recent refurb, the facilities inside were excellent, comfortable, clean everything you needed for a self catering trip, including wifi for the guests convenience. Three bedrooms, beds comfortable and good storeage space.
Close to the local amentities, shops, restaurants and pubs, with parking right outside your front door. A good location to explore the surrounding area and enjoy what it has to offer.

I understand that our group, who will be back in the area next year, will no doubt be booking again.

“Brilliant accommodation and location, will definitely come again ;-)”
Reviewed 5 October 2013 for a stay in August 2013

A lovely, modern cottage with everything you need! Beds were comfy and the bathroom facilities were excellent.

Miniver Rose is an excellent base for golfing, walking, fishing and sampling the local whisky. There's so much to do, you won't be disappointed.

We will definitely be back, the owners were really friendly with helpful tips and advice to get the most out of your stay in the beautiful speyside countryside. Would definitely recommend a visit, and if it rains........there's always the Mash Tun pub!

“Fantastic stay, lovely town and lovely people!”
Reviewed 16 September 2013 for a stay in August 2013

We stayed in The Minver Rose for a week at the beginning of August and had a fantastic stay. The owners were very welcoming and picked us up from the train station, which was helpful for us. The house was very clean and tidy, but cosy at the same time. We especially liked the decked area at the back of the house where we sat every morning to eat breakfast in the sun and even had a few barbecues! We recommend going to David Brown's Butcher for your meat. There is also a co-op local just down the road and The Spey Larder, selling deli style food.

We were lucky to have picked the weekend that the local highland games were on, a great day out enjoyed by both of us and very Scottish! We also visited The Glenlivet Distillery another brilliant day out with a tour of the distillery and whiskey tasting, followed by a night in the Mash Tun pub in Aberlour, where we met some of the locals who were very friendly!

We definitely enjoyed our stay and will be going back to visit next year!
