My husband is in a small, local photography club, Lesmahagow Photography Society, and tonight was their 30th anniversary Presentation Dinner. It's a small-ish company, 30 of us, and we had a lovely 3 course meal (a pre-set meal), presented by pleasant staff in a really nice private room which was free of charge to hire. The room was beautifully set out, and made for an easy going sociable event. The staff were also very helpful in setting up the room, with a table for the awards, and facilities for a slide show of the winning photographs to be shown as a background setting to our evening. I hope everyone else enjoyed it as much as we did, and I'd definitely recommend this venue for a similar event (here's hoping we can return for our Christmas dinner!). Thanks to all the staff

Had an overnight with my better half and had a really enjoyable stay. The hotel was in the process of refurbishing their dining room so breakfast and dinner had to be taken in the lounge bar opposite the teception but this was not a problem as the lounge bar was tastefully decorated and had the feel of a dining room. From the moment we checked in at reception we were made to feel really welcome unlike some of the chain hotels we have visited. We paid a little extra for one of the upstairs suites which was absolutely huge with a balcony and an enormous bathroom. Dinner in the evening was really excellent with a great choice of meals . My wife had the trio of black, white and fruit pudding tower for her starter which was amazing and really plentiful. For mains, my wife had chicken and I had fish and chips with both meals perfectly cooked and again substantial portions. We spent an enjoyable and relaxing evening over a few drinks and really chilled out. Full Scottish breakfast in the morning was again excellent and was served at your table as opposed to the normal buffet style which I hate as I usually eat far too much. Check out was very smooth and I must make special mention of Debbie Alexander at reception who was a credit to the hotel with her bubbly personality and absolute professionalism. All in all a very enjoyable stay which did not break the bank and we would definitely return in the future.

I stay at this hotel time and time againover the past few years but since my business has concluded in this area i have not been back for a while.. I called the hotel to enquire availibilty after not visiting for over 5 months to be greeted by the receptionist Anne who recognised my voice, remembered my name and allocated me a room straight away. thats very impressive!!! and gives you confidence in theor customer service. a lot of investment is being put into this hotel upgrading the key areas bars and restuarant. the rooms are great and i usually get allocated one of the lovely suites with a balcony at a very reasonable charge. breakfast is very good tasty and served with a smile. The overall feel of the hotel is great and i would recommend it to anyone viisting Lanarkshire or visiting Glasgow and not wanting to pay the big charges for similar standard hotels. highly recommended.

Room Tip: ask for a suite. price upgrade is usually minimal for a much better room

Stayed here Monday to Friday for almost a year when working in the area. The rooms are really nice. Very modern. Comfy beds. The showers are hot and very powerful. Everything's kept clean. The staff are friendly and helpful. Breaky awesome. The food is also really good! Never got board of the menu.

Although it's a nice hotel. It's only good for visiting friends/family or on business. Larkhall is a dump. And don't leave any valuables in your car!
