We saw great reviews about this place & thus drove all the way to have lunch here. Just because we didn’t reserve a table, we were declined tables that were available along the window side for a view of the bay. We ordered the chicken strips with rice & specials menu salmon & hand cut chips on the side (not allowed to change one of the potatoes to chips so had to order extra). The salmon supposedly comes with mashed & roasted potatos.
Portions were small; food a little overpriced & not really that good.

Visited this hotel for a short sightseeing trip. The bar is lovely with a big fireplace which is very cosy there is also a seating area overlooking the bay which is lovely. The staff are very welcoming and friendly would definitely recommend a visit here.

We were last in Bushmills in May 2015 and ate here twice. 3 years later we’re back in the area and we’ve once again eaten here twice and the standards have remained very high.
The restaurant overlooks a bay and the Atlantic and there’s plenty of parking at the rear or out front on the main road.
I’d recommend booking as it’s busy - even during the week.
Excellent menu choice with specials and a good traditional choice including sea food.
There’s a bar and a small seating area inside the door as you enter.
The staff are all very attentive and there’s plenty of them ensuring the service is excellent.
We’d recommend this restaurant in a minute for any group - single, couple or family group - you’ll not regret eating here!

Excellent food, value and service. There was a wide choice on the menu to suit all our tastes. There is also an early bird offer too before 7pmm which is also great value.

Our visit to the north coast has been the major surprise of our trip to Ireland so far. The scenery is outstanding and on a par with the Cabot trail in Nova Scotia or Big Sur in California.
We highly recommend the Bayview hotel in Portballantrae This ocean front hotel is quiet, modern, clean and friendly. It is centrally located with great views of the harbour and is only a 10 minute walk to a fabulous beach and a 45 minute hike to the giants causeway along a well maintained foot path. Northern Ireland’s resort town of Port Rush with it’s championship golf links and amusement arcades are only a 10 minute drive away and the town and distillery of Bushmills is only a 30 minute walk from the hotel.
