I stayed here in early Feb 2013 as an overnight business stay. I booked a single room but when I arrived was shown to a triple room with a sofa and kitchen area which made my stay really comfortable. I had to be out early the next morning so they kindly gave me a generous breakfast tray so I could make my own toast etc in my room. Had the thai fishcakes in the restaurant which tasted great and were very reasonable. After a really comfy and quiet nights sleep I can say that I really rated this stay.

We stayed in a log cabin for 6 people, there werent enough sofa spaces for us to all sit down so the we squashed five on the sofa with the sixth person on the floor! Should really be advertised as a log cabin for 4. They shut off the facilities early for a private party without prior morning so we couldnt have an evening swim in the pool, the jacuzzi was not switched on during our stay either, staff were sadly rude too. Will not consider returning!!!

Stayed 3 nights, rooms in block adjacent to main building, big room, with microwave, fridge, and sofa area, double & single bed, really spacious but also warm, big pool, had sauna which could do with a little tlc, clubhouse as you'd find on holiday camp, but food was really good standard, and the staff really friendly and helpful, couldn't fault it. Caravans also on site, but would return, thanks for a lovely stay Julie & ciaran Birmingham

My family and I stayed here for four nights over christmas (five in all a OAP couple, a couple and teenager) . We had a lovely time and are thinking of staying again. The staff were really friendly and lovely they even let us take our log cabin over a lot earlier than stated( which was a bonus as we had travelled from over two hours away) . Although there is a caravan site the log cabins are set well above them so when your in your room or lounge you cannot see them and just the beautiful Hills and countryside. Extremely peaceful and you can easily see many birds of prey. Maybe take washing up liquid, soap, tea towels etc as these were not supplied but the cabin was of an amazingly high standard and the Hot Tub was brilliant just what we needed.!!!!!!

Room Tip: All Rooms excellent - Just remember soap etc

Penrhos was simply a quick stopover between our destinations. The rooms were huge! We were quite pleased with our accommodations. Although the service in the restaurant was a bit slow and we had to wait a few minutes to check-out the next morning, I would still consider staying at Penrhos again.

Spent two nights here with friends. Rooms large with fridge, microwave, crockery, cutlery, etc. Don't play golf but used it as a stop while doing the Ceredigion Coast Walk.
The swimming pool was very welcome but the jacuzzi didn't work on our second night and there was no-one around to sort it out.
Breakfast set us all up for the day; the smoked salmon and scrambled eggs would have fed two or three people!
Evening meals were fairly standard but well presented and very generous. We found the staff pleasant and helpful.
Would definitely stay again.

Room Tip: All the same.

This hotel is in a great location between Aberystwyth and Aberaeron. It is dated but the rooms are large and facilities good. The receptionist on arrival had little idea of who we were and where we were staying. The double room was sizeable with a double bed as well as a single, but the single bed hadn't been used,I imagine, as the bedding was very dusty.Service in the bar was efficient, but not so in the restaurant. Some tables were too close together and cramped. Don't arrive for breakfast at the time the restaurant opens as it won't be set up. And why serve chips and peas with almost everything on the evening meal menu? We don't all want chips. Overall, a hotel in a good location crying out for a makeover. Could be great with some attention to detail.
