Definitely the jewel in the crown in Selby. Very beautiful and interesting abbey with lots of information boards dotted around with some interesting facts and beautiful stained glass windows. Not much else to see in Selby from a tourist point of view.

Wonderful building full of historical information. The staff are knowledgeable and full of information and are not 'in your face' unlike some other historical buildings. It's clean and tidy and entrance is free. An oasis of calm in the middle of town and even the visitors have made mention that this is more worthwhile to visit than York Minster, praise indeed
