We visited Samlesbury and had a great time, the entry fee is very good value and the cafe does a nice lunch, decent choice and not that expensive. The hall itself is lovely and the staff were very friendly and brought the history of the place alive. We spent a very pleasant few hours, I would rate the house itself as one of the finest of its type in the North West. The only damp squid was the Titanic display, my main question to the management of the hall would be WHY??. It's so out place and had nothing that I could see from the Titanic itself, things from the sister ship but nothing directly from the Titanic. it stood out like a sore thumb from the rest of the hall, a tactful word for it would have been amateurish.
