This a a fabulous Guesthouse, with wonderful hosts. The decor is lovely, the food is divine, and it has a superb dining and lounge area. Roomy accommodation with every facility. Overall, a great experience and outstanding value at a very reasonable price.

Room Tip: Room 3 is a double en-suite, very comfortable

Paul looked after us very well we had a very comfortable room which was made up each day he was excellent at breakfast and changed menu as requested. He gave us details of places to visit on a daily basis and we were free to come and go during the day no problem .The town has many good restaurants and reasonably priced with a wide choice of menu.We would recommend the Horseshoe for a relaxing holiday

Only the most churlish traveller would find fault with this lovely guest house. Paul, front of house, clearly loves what he does and the ambience is friendly, relaxed and welcoming. Bonus feature: fresh-laid eggs from Paul and Laura's own chickens.

A good night's stay at this pleasant, well situated B&B in Rhayader - very convenient for the Elan Valley and with good safe parking and bike storage. Our room was warm and comfortable with ensuite. Paul and Laura are very welcoming and there is a nice family atmosphere. The evening meal was delicious - really good home cooking with a superb pud! Breakfast was the best we have had for some time - all freshly cooked to order with their own freshly laid eggs, and good local bacon. Excellent value we shall definitely be back

A truly relaxing experience within a homely and hospitable guest house. A venue with genuine character matched only by Paul, Laura and their family who are always on hand to advise, assist and attend to your needs - nothings seems to be too much trouble!

The food is simply put: is locally sourced, carefully and well prepared - you can most definitely taste the difference here!

All in all, a welcome and refreshing change to stay at a venue with character and charisma run by hosts who know how to make a guest feel welcomed and valued. A remarkable customer experience which I was fortunate to find and will (along with my companions) be revisiting.

Highly recommended.
