Enjoyed dinner here on Saturday evening starting with scallops on a really delicious risotto and following that with beautifully cooked cod on a bed of new potatoes and veg. I have eaten here before and last time I remember thinking that with just a little more effort they could be really good. The cooking was of good standard, then and last evening, but the food was sadly all served on cold plates so the main course veg were cold when I got them. There was a limited selection of puddings, which could easily have been more impressive as there were goodies in the chiller cabinet in the coffee shop that could have been offered too. The wine list isn't too exciting but a bottle of Argentinian White was very drinkable and reasonably priced. It must be a real struggle to keep a good restaurant going in a small mid Wales town but keep going please, some of us do appreciate good food but please get a plate warmer!
