Although this place was beautifully kept & in lovely grounds, the best thing I can say about it was the size of the bed! It was literally HUGE!!! I'm 5'8" & I could have slept horizontally across it without touching the edges! But that's it!! The shower in the room was cold. The cold tap water was warm, so nothing cool to drink all night. No fridge in the room in order to cool the warm tap water for a nice chilled drink. All the cupboards were full of the owners' clothes. There was a spider the size of a £2 coin in the bath when we first walked in the room. When we got rid of the spider it had a huge cobweb (not spider's web, cobweb) attached to it. I then went to the toilet to find the lid of the toilet emblazoned with stickers of spiders!!!!! Not great for someone with a fear of spiders!!!! The soap dispenser was filthy, you could literally see the dirt on the pump, gross!! & the toiletries in the shower looked like they had been used by god knows who else!! The breakfast was measly & full of oil. A full English is meant to be a hearty breakfast. Well, a piece of bacon, a sausage an oily fried egg & a couple of mushrooms doesn't make a full English. The vegetarian option was awful & after asking for scrambled eggs I got a disgusting, oily fried egg! There were no beans & it just didn't fill the hole in my stomach!! You could see the plate in between each tiny little portion of food. It was Michelin style size portions, but horrible greasy spoon quality!! Although saying that, had the portions been any bigger I don't think I'd have wanted to eat it anyway!! I only ate what was there because I was starving. The breakfast table, although not filthy, was not spotless, as I would expect having paid that amount of money! The place mats looked mucky & there were crumbs & bits of sugar in my place setting. Underneath the place mats was a protective mat for the dining table which had a huge piece of gaffer tape holding it together which just made it all look tacky & knocked together. It is just not what I would have expected for a place as beautifully decorated & kept (at least on the surface) as this!! It wasn't dirty but definitely not up to scratch for that sort of money!! A total waste of £100 in my opinion!!! Don't waste your money, go to a premier /holiday Inn instead!!

Was travelling to meet a morning plane at heathrow and was looking for a single room and this was very good value. The couple running the b&b were very friendly and helpful. The bed was comfortable and the room and bathroom clean.
I wanted an early start and so they served breakfast at 7.30 on sunday which was very helpful.
It is a lovely house set in nice gardens, quiet and in a nice area.

Very basic and not very practical. On arrival we were told that breakfast was served from 7, we said we would be leaving around that time but were offered no flexibility/refund. Room not cleaned either, there was a load of clothing in the wardrobe of our room, but worst thing was the bathroom, stains under the toilet seat and hairs in the bath. Not be anywhere near here again I'm afraid.

Everything seems to be half done it needs a bit of care on the little things, no bedside cabinet so you have to put your phone / drink on the floor, kettle is on the floor, the windows are locked, the wardrobes are full of somebody else's clothes, the draws have Christmas wrapping paper in them. no ironing board or iron, the shower room has no blind or curtains, all the ornaments have months worth of dust on them but the rest of the room was spotless, their is an electric tooth brush in the shower room with used heads & a mascara brush in a little bowl, the heating didn't come on ( was freezing ), only one small towel no bath or face towel, smallest selection of tea / coffee / sugar I have ever seen, no milk but was asked if I wanted some, internet was so slow it was unusable, was told to remove shoes as soon as I entered ( not asked would I mind removing my shoes ), no offer to help with bag up the stairs. the toilet roll was huge the sort you find in a public toilet, It wouldn't take much to make this a very nice place to stay. previous review he got a slice of cake, would have been a nice touch if I was offered the same.

Room tip: don't book a single room as the bathroom is not en suite

Stunning house, beautiful setting, lovely owners. Unfortunately the twin room is a garish blue! Tea pot was full of cold tea. Kettle lives on floor. No bedside cabinets. Wardrobe was full of ladies clothes, Iron was disgusting, covered in hardened gunk and a burning smell when turned on. Cobwebs in room and bathroom. I did get a slice of cake with my cup of tea though!
