Thank you for taking the time to leave a review of your walk along our Battlefield Trail.

Next time you visit you should consider looking around our award-winning Exhibition and experiencing one of the living history camps. Details of our admission rates and events can be found on our website and social media platforms.

The walk-through exhibition has numerous informative displays with interactions, videos and medieval dressing up opportunities. I think we must have spend 1.5 hours in there. Th gift shop at the end, sadly, makes to usual mistake of charging too much for its merchandise. I am often staggered why such places have to do this. Whilst I appreciate they need to make money, surely if they reduced their prices by as much as one-third they would generate 10 times the revenue, (I am speculating). Consequently we bought nothing despite seeing plenty of nice things in there.

On the subject of costs, the car parking fee of £2.50 seems a bit steep on top of the entrance fee of £28 for a family of 4. I accept there needs to be a charge for those who do walks in the area but don’t visit the museum.

Overall a thoughtful, well planned exhibition and would definitely recommend a visit. We learnt a lot.

Thank you for taking the time to leave your review following your recent visit to us at Bosworth battlefield in which you raise a number of issues which I will try to answer.

The gift shop - I have forwarded your comments re the price of things to our Retail and Merchandising person

Car parking - Again I have passed this onto the Management Team to discuss at their next meeting

Don't forget that your admission ticket to the Exhibition allows unlimited visits for 12 months from the date of purchase and access to our Conflict 1485 and Soldier's Camps living history. The dates of these can be found via our website.

Kind regards

It’s two years since we last visited and we felt that the small changes that had been made were very good; last time it was borderline between a 4 and a 5 score, this time it was a definite 5.

The Visitor Centre was excellent and all the technology was working. The lady in the shop showed extremely good customer care.

The “walk” was particularly pleasant on such a lovely day even though it is now acknowledged that the battlesite was probably elsewhere.

There is plenty of parking on site although it is paid parking. You do not have to go into the Visitor Centre in order to do the walk.

Staying in a local Leicestershire hotel, we realised how close we were to the Battle of Bosworth exhibition centre, so decided to make a detour. We were so glad we did. The exhibition centre has been well thought out with something for all members of the family. There are interactive exhibits, costumes to try on, as well as videos of actors in character reliving aspects of the time periods. If you have a chance book the tour which lasts about 11/2 hours and takes you to the various strategic points of the Battle of Bosworth. We had Trevor, a retired history teacher, who was enthusiastic in his storytelling and brought the War of the Roses to life for the whole tour group. There is a cafe and shop as well as a pay and display carpark £2.50 all day.

We went here as we wanted to see the battlefield. We did not go into the museum so cannot comment on that but if the information in the museum is anything like the information on the walk around the battlefield I am sure it would have been very good. The information on the walk is very informative. You do not have to pay be able to walk around the battle site which I though was very good. The staff are very helpful and friendly.

Thank you for your 5* review following your walk around The Battlefield Trail, next time you visit you really should go around our Award-winning Exhibition as this really explains the events that took place on the 22nd August 1485,. Alternatively you could come to The Bosworth Medieval Festival over the weekend of 18th & 19th August when the site comes alive with the sounds and smells of a medieval battlefield, with jousting, living history camps and a re-enactment of The Battle of Bosworth. You can get a 10% discount on tickets for this great family event via our website.
