I had a clean, comfortable and quiet double room - room 2 has a lovely 'west view' over fields. Georgina is a thoughtful and friendly hostess - she does a great full English. Staying here is pretty good value. Westview is just outside the picture postcard perfect town of Winchelsea - do make sure you have a good wander when you visit the area.
If you're looking for a B&B in this part of the world, I'm absolutely certain you could do a lot worse!

Room Tip: Though room 2 has its own private bathroom, it's just along the corridor. Not really a problem...

We have just spent a great Easter at this pretty, warm, clean & comfortable B&B, just 2 miles from Rye and a short walk into Winchelsea. It is set in a quiet location so we got a good nights sleep, our room with en-suite was spacious and hosts Georgina & Terry Evans are very friendly, nothing was too much trouble for them.
Georgina is a character and both she and Terry are artists. Terry especially is very well known.
Our stay was smashing and we heartily recommend it and will return in the near future.

Room Tip: Triple room was excellent (one double bed & one single bed)

Good standard basic accomodation in a great location for a relaxing weekend in the Rye/Winchelsea area. Not much to do in the immediate area but a cosy pub is in walking distance. Lovely views from the double...only downside is the lack of ensuite.

We stayed in the triple room (one double, one single bed) on a Saturday night in March. A lovely quiet location. The room was very clean, and newly decorated in a country cottage style. The beds were very comfortable, and the ensuite shower room was modern and clean with a great shower.
Georgina was a welcoming host and served up a delicious breakfast in the conservatory overlooking the river. Would highly recommend. Close enough to Rye (10 mins in car) to enjoy what it has to offfer, but don't overlook winchelsea itself.

We spent two nights at Westview in the quiet village of Winchelsea. As we had a car we chose this for easy access to the nearby towns of Rye, Hastings and Battle before continuing to Brighton. The parking in the front yard was good and we could leave the car and walk for about 10 minutes up the hill to the New Inn, an excellent country pub (reviewed separately) for dinner.
The owners, Georgina and Terry were lovely, and had decorated the house with their art and craft work. The property is located on a quiet road. The room we occupied had a standard double and a single bed. The furnishings were excellent and the room was reasonably spacious with a chair and small table by the window. There was no robe, only hooks for hanging clothes but this was not a problem for a two night stay.
The ensuite was fairly compact but a full set of shelves made up for the smaller area as there was plenty of room to leave your toiletries. The shower was also good, unlike showers in some later B & Bs.
Wifi access worked well.
Breakfast was lovely with the usual juice, cereal etc plus hot food cooked to order.
Although there was no separate guest lounge we did not find this a problem as we had plenty of space to relax in our room.
Great value and wonderful hosts.

Room Tip: If you don't want to share a standard double choose the room with the double and single bed.

We stayed here, with friends, for a night during August bank holiday week-end, other hotels and b+b's had a minimum two night stay, but Georgina made us very welcome. The rooms were very comfortable and we slept well. The advice of where to eat was spot on, which we disregarded - to our peril.
Breakfast the following morning was excellant.
No pets allowed, Very close to Rye a fascinating town to explore
If you were staying for a while you would probably want a residents lounge or equivalent, but this is a b+b not an hotel - we would recommend it for 1 or 2 night stopover

Room Tip: One room has an en-suite, the other has a bathroom next door
