“Excellent stay”
Reviewed 8 May 2014

We stayed at the lodge for two nights, the staff were excellent and couldn't do enough for us, Our room was lovely really clean and furnished really well all very comfortable.

We had a meal in the restaurant and it was delicious very quick service and the prices were really reasonable, unfortunately we didn't get the young lads name that served us that night but he really made sure we had an enjoyable evening thank you. The continental breakfast was lovely everything we needed.

Rye is very near and Camber sands beach.

Thank you also to the Manager who made time for us.

Overall a really lovely stay we will look forward to returning.

Room Tip: We asked for a nice view on booking, and it was a lovely view all across the fields we also had a ba...

In the area for Easter weekend and thought the carvery was perfect for Easter Sunday lunch,

We arrived @ 14:40 and our table was booked and reserved, sat down and waited for 20 minutes for drink order which was then wrong! When we asked for correct drinks they were brought back and "dumped" on table. We then ordered food and must say it was lovely but no offer of more drinks/refills , no consistency and had to chase chance for more drinks, chase to order puddings and there was no level of customer service, except the man carving (he was very friendly and I assume the owner) heard women ( waitresses ) moaning about feeling exhausted and complaining how busy it had been!!! Shame as this clearly is a stylish venue with a good chef and reasonable priced but the service today let it down

Ive just returned from my travels to Scotland ,Darlington and York.Quite tired and hungry, so I headed for my local today for their Sunday roast Carvery. It was very busy but they found a spot for us and as always the Manager Toby made us very welcome,as did the rest of the staff, Oh its good to be home. The Carvery is always fresh and Loads of it and good gravy and veg.. I would recommend their trio of puddings and a coffee for £5. today it was creme brulee, choc brownie, and shortbread with a splash of berrys and cream.great value.Cheers Guys. NICE TO BE BACK.

A last minute booking for 3 nights while visiting friends. Staff are friendly and quick to help. Good central location for the places we were visiting. Rooms was clean and well presented. We had a triple room for 2 with its own parking. Breakfast was continental but plenty of it.

A last minute, 1-night booking here. Had a triple room for 2 of us, with breakfast included. The room was large and clean with a beautiful view over the surrounding area. Staff were friendly and quick to help - suggested a pub 1 mile walk away for dinner which was exactly what we were looking for. Good amenities, tasty breakfast. Highly recommended.

So this was found only as looking for a carvery with my mum today.

Amazing location, warm welcome, friendly serving staff and a quite delicious Sunday roast - took a walk in place called Pett Level after

What a great day

I can say this place was great - modern bar and decor - quite unexpectated from the outside.

Priced at 9.95 for adults half for children

Will return as good value, good food and made to feel very welcome
