From the moment of booking through to the morning after Margret and Russell couldnt do enough for us .They allowed us in advance to prepare room and decorate as well and giving us helpfull hints in regards feeding guests which we have to say the food was outstanding and extremely high quality.Alot of our family, freinds had traveled from afar and were made to feel very welcome with rooms being ready on arrival. The rooms were very clean and very good value nothink was to much trouble.
After wedding the breakfast was fantastic and the hospitality was second to none form start to finish.
A very special thankyou to Margaret and russell plus there staff for making our day very special xxx

My daughter and I have just returned from my best friend's wedding reception held at this hotel. We have never been made to feel more welcome in a place, nothing phased Margaret and her team, always with a welcoming smile and friendliness. The reception food put on by Russ was amazing as was the breakfast each morning. We couldn't recommend this hotel more highly for its warmth and welcoming, the hospitality shown was second to none. Its a perfect location for any guest to feel chilled out and well looked after. Thank you once again.

I cannot say 4enough nice things about the hotel or the owners. Clean, warm, friendly. Not even a bat of an eyelash me and my partner were there - and not m/f. Geniune salt of the earth people. The breakfast was the biggest I've ever had in a hotel - full continental bar - and then a to order in addition - they even made fresh kippers! It is not a plasticated yuppie joint - go elsewhere for that - but if you want a good stay and to be treated well, stop in.

Room Tip: ask for the sea view.

Right on the beach, a very comfortable hotel, pet friendly. Bacton is lovely as a get away. Great fish snd chips a short stroll away and makes a great base to explore further. Bedding is always spotless. Margaret is the hostess with the mostess, she will make sure you get what you want.

I stayed here with family (across 3 x rooms), for 4 x nights. We had an absolutely fantastic time at Bacton (and surrounding areas), the icing on the cake being the hotel.

The rooms were absolutely spotless (as was everywhere else),fresh and comfortable and our one had a lovely sea-view. Whilst not a cleanliness fanatic, I am put off by less than ideal cleanliness - this was the opposite! A pet hate of mine, and seems to be more often than not the case, the room TV is tiny, archaic, with poor reception etc.... This was a good size modern TV, with perfect reception. Whilst not watching very much, a little first thing in the morning and early evening before venturing out, it's frustrating when it's poor!

The dining room was again fresh, bright, and airy. The breakfast was of a very high standard, all locally sourced, good quality ingredients - no industrial bacon or sawdust sausages here.....! As well as a wide choice (for me, always has to be the traditional!), there was a very wide selection of cereals, juices, fresh fruit, Yoghurts, Croissant etc., with a genuine encouragement to help yourself to whatever you want, before tackling the "full English"!

All of the above was brilliant, welcome, and a pleasure to experience, but in many respects the most important thing is warmth of the staff and management. The staff we did encounter were lovely and friendly. The proprietor (Margaret), is truly delightful, and engages with all guests in an absolutely warm and friendly way, with definitely no plastic smiles. Well, after all, she is an Essex girl, and we Essex folk are a friendly bunch :)

Thanks for a lovely stay, we'll be back
