Friendly service, good food and well kept beer. Service was a little slow as there was a large party booked in. Comfy seating area in the bar. Plenty of parking.

Had a lovely dinner here. Started with some very well kept real ale, starter was superb and the main course was just the right size served piping hot. Service was attentive but not 'in your face'. Prices are very reasonable with some good specials and I will be going back for the lunchtime specials. Thanks

Just had an early dinner here before the Olympic opening ceremony on TV! The service was faultless, friendly and efficient. The food was fantastic, chicken breast in a cream and mushroom sauce and lamb in a red wine jus. Both seasoned perfectly and served with new potatoes and fresh veg. It was obviously freshly cooked to order. We shared a dessert of fresh local raspberries with cream and shortbread.
It's a little way out of the village but well worth looking for.

Visited the Triple Plea as it was recomended and we were staying in the area. The food was excellent and the service was freindly and efficient. My wife had the breast and leg of Partridge with a white wine, apricot & cream sauce which she really enjoyed and I had the Beef Bourguignone which was so tender and full of flavour. All in all a good meal at a reasonable price.

The starter was fine but the main course beef Bourginion was chewy and so hot that its was impossible to eat for at least 10 mins - obviously reheated in microwave - when we were asked by the waitress who was the owner if there was anything we needed she went to get it from the kitchen came back and then we asked for something else and she made a sarcastic remark about haveing to walk all that way again - well with that attitude no wonder we were the only 4 customers!!!!!!!!!!!!! couldnt wait to get out - no atmosphere and terrible main course
