My friend and I booked the Yellowhammer yurt as a short break with our girls (aged 11 & 15). We arrived not knowing what to expect. Kim and Nick met us on arrival. What lovely people. The yurt was lovely and comfortable with our pre-booked bedding all ready to use. The facilities provided were excellent, all you need to take is your food and personal belongings!! The outdoor showers proved a novelty for us with hot water too! The local pub (approx 1 mile away) was recommended and an easy walk or bike ride away. Have recommended to friends and plan on going back!!

Kim and Nick were fabulous hosts and have thought of everything at their venue. Cooking and washing facilities were well stocked and very clean, yurts were really comfortable. We stayed in Barn Owl and it was very romantic and pretty. We loved cooking over an open fire when the sun was out. The yurts were far enough apart to not be disturbed but really nice to meet other guests when looking for walks on the books/maps in the communal area to share ideas. Sea side is a short drive or bike ride away and we did some great walks to take in the local area and wildlife. A definite recommend.

Hope you managed to get a good walk in on your last day; we loved the Bungay/Earsham walk I mentioned to you but there's no shortage of good alternatives inland or along the coast. Would love to see you both back here for some more exploring one day!

Surprised my fiancee with a 3 night break at Ivy Grange Farm and we both had an awesome time! Nick and Kim were lovely hosts and even picked me up some (delicious) bacon from their favourite butcher before we'd arrived!

The nearby countryside is perfect for a bike ride (bikes can be hired free of charge!) so I would definitely recommend that if you stay here you make use of the bikes and the surrounding area!

We stayed in Woodpecker Yurt which was very luxurious and probably a little TOO big for just 2 people but it was really nice to have the extra space.

The weather wasn't amazing and we had some heavy rain, but nothing beats cosying up by the woodburner with a couple of mugs of tea and listening to the rain tapping on the top of your little home.

GO NOW!

Room Tip: Barn Owl looked perfect for couples, we would probably save ourselves a bit of money and book there...

It was lovely to see you both here and glad you managed to keep the surprise for your fiancee until you arrived here! We'd love to see you back again, and generally Barn Owl (our "romantic" yurt which has now hosted a few honeymoons....) books a little slower than the other, family, yurts so we've still got some gaps! We'll keep our fingers crossed for more sunshine for you return visit. Best wishes to you both.

Everything about our stay here was wonderful. Nick and Kim were fantastic hosts - very friendly and welcoming and incredibly thoughtful.

The Yurt itself (Woodpecker) was beautiful and incredibly cosy. The wood burner was already laid for us so it was easy to get going, it was very easy to just settle in and relax. In practical terms there was everything you could need to use from glasses and cups to a corkscrew and tin opener. There is also a travel cot, a high chair and fire guards available to use if you need them. There is a table inside but also a large table outside on the deck which is also where you can find pots and pans safely stored away for use on the camp stove. There is also a barbecue and a camp fire outside the Yurt which we hope to use when we come back next Summer!

Over near the barn is a lovely, well equipped undercover kitchen which is very handy if the weather isn't very kind during your stay. The barn itself is fantastic, the table tennis and table football were enjoyed very much by our family and my son also loved the use of the bicycles. There is a large table in here too which is a nice place to get together and eat, also a fridge freezer, a kettle (and tea and coffee) and lots of other useful bits and bobs like a picnic basket, flask and ice packs.

Everything is so well thought out and beautifully put together. I loved the baskets that you could leave your toiletries in in the bathroom and everywhere was fantastically clean and tidy and well cared for.

The stars were beautifully clear when we were there and it was wonderfully quiet - the only sounds were from the owls which was lovely.

My only regret is not getting to use the outdoor shower - we simply ran out of time! I must put it on the list for next time, we can't wait to go back!

We really enjoyed having you all here and pleased that the weather cheered up for you! When you come back next summer your daughter will be just the right height for hiding in the mown paths in the meadow, a source of much amusement for small children! And nice to know that you still have the woodland shower to look forward to...

We arrived for a 3 night stay for our anniversary.
While we were there we had such lovely service and we really couldn't have asked for more. I cannot advise more for people so try the outdoor showers, even in a cold late October day they were wonderful. A wonderful time had by us both we shall return. Thank you

We loved seeing you both here and are pleased to read that you had such a great stay in spite of (or because?) the impressive St Jude's Day storm! It goes without saying that we'd love to see you back here again. We'll be putting the yurts back up again in the middle of March ready for the new season and we've been busy over the winter - Nick has been making tit nesting boxes for the little copse behind Yellowhammer yurt and we've got the foundations in place for a new cob pizza oven (having been on a course in September), so you'll see some new additions...

We arrived in our rented orange VW Camper van, in the wind & rain, to find the very lovely Nick in his crocs. He didn't hesitate to make us feel very welcome for our 2night break in Yellowhammer Yurt. After the small walk across the lovely field, we found our charming Yurt. I was speechless.....as I opened the door (because Nick insisted, told you, a lovely man) which was a small round wooden door nob, that simply kept the door closed (little things....) I held my breath, and entered the 'dolls house'. Cosy, private, quiet, idyllic, big and quite possibly the most beautiful place I could ever imagine spending my now fiancé's R&R (that happened on day 2, the day before my 40th). To cut a long story short. We had one amazing time. The yurt will always be a special place for us both. We will be returning. We loved the outside cooking. The showers were amazing, hot & powerful, (which is one of my bug bears in hotels) and set in an immaculately clean bathroom with very nice whisker baskets for your toiletries. The one thing that I really loved, was that you could leave your mobile phones on charge, along with iPads in the barn, and nobody touched them. Like I said earlier, idyllic. Nick & Kim??? Many many thanks! See you both very soon xx

Congratulations! It was a delight to see you both here and we're thrilled that Yellowhammer was the setting for the proposal and even happier that you said yes! We'll very much look forward to seeing you back here - Barn Owl yurt has proved popular with honeymooners, if that takes your fancy (made by lovely Tim Hutton who also made Yellowhammer yurt, so it has many of the same qualities just a little bit smaller to make it cosier for 2).... Whatever, we're really pleased it worked for you both, as we know it was a much looked-forward to break. Good luck with the plans for the wedding and we'll hope to see you both back here again soon.

An amazing and idyllic 'get away from it all' holiday retreat in a quiet area close to the beautiful Suffolk seaside/estuary of Walberswick (ideal for crabbing). The yurts are fantastically well equipped and comfortable with every attention to detail to make your glamping experience a special one.I had no idea that yurts have floors and proper double beds and stoves and a lovely high ceiling. No wonder the term 'glamping' was invented as camping this is not - Luxury indeed! There are 4 secluded yurts and a bell tent, set in a spacious meadow each with private outdoor areas for cooking (stove) and campfires (wood available). There is a communal barn with table tennis and other fun family activities and even very private outdoor showers with water heated by solar panels - a wonderful experience! Birdlife is abundant and this would make a wonderful holiday for families who want to leave the intrusion of TV, ipad and other electronic devices behind (there's a novel idea!) and get right back to nature. Owners Kim and Nick will even pick you up from the nearest station (2 miles away) as they are delighted if you travel by train and leave your car behind...services from London via Ipswich. Perfect for a short stay or a week and special birdwatching/wildlife events are in the offing.

Room Tip: ask Kim about the special romantic honeymoon yurt!

We were delighted that your first experience of a yurt worked so well for you! The height is great, isn't it - especially being able to look out through the clear "wheel" at the centre at the night sky and seeing the morning sun creep in. You're not alone in welcoming a slower pace of life and absence of tv - we think that watching the birds is an even better way to spend time, and most couples and families enjoy doing just what you did - watching the world go by at a leisurely pace. We'll hope to see you back here again next year - there's a range of different yurts to try out if you fancy ringing the changes!
