School Farm Cottages

Wonderful, very fully equipped, comfortable cottages on a working farm - ideal for kids of all ages and also good disabled access. Collecting the eggs for us was popular with the children. Owners very friendly and go out of their way to help. Remote, quiet - car essential - masses of things to do in Suffolk and beaches. No local shop (Laxfield is nearest and sells most essentials - have a pint at Low House when you go there), pub rather quiet but willing - no buses. .Easy and ample parking. If you cope with single track roads - look no further!

Room Tip: Some have no stairs - helpful if challenged physically

A return visit to North Cottage after 9 years. The cottage has gained two new windows looking out onto a nice garden area with a gazebo.
The cottage is cosy, clean and well equipped. It is ideal for children with a large garden, farm animals and a very friendly cat. It is also peaceful and relaxing for older folk like us. It is an excellent area for walking, cycling and exploring the coastal area and Suffolk towns. Claire & David make you very welcome and are very helpful.
We will not be leaving it another 9 years before we return!

If you want a home from home experience this is for you. Claire and David have 4 cottages to choose from, all of which have everything you need for self catering. They are exceptionally clean and you start with fresh milk, welcome cookies, orange juice and tea and coffee to get you started .We have stayed here many times now and Claire and David have made us feel welcome every time we arrive, they are a lovely couple and nothing is too much trouble. Our girls have collected eggs and fed the lambs and have fished in the lake, also spent time in the games room. Will definitely be returning.

Eight of us have just returned from another crafting holiday at school farm. Six of our party are woodcarvers (four men and two ladies) one of which also spends time patchworking. We have an artist and a cardcrafter. As the weather was so cold this year it didn't bother us, doing what we like best in comfy warm surroundings. A walk around the village was possible when the sun showed it's face, and it was a joy to admire the spring flowers appearing on the banks of the ditches. This is a fantastic venue to relax and chill out and we look forward to returning in November. Claire and David are the perfect hosts and the cottages very clean and comfortable, it really is home from home.

Claire and David provide a wonderful venue for our annual scrapbooking retreat. They are very attentive to their guest needs, literally going the extra mile to help out! The cottages are very well equipped and very clean. The tea, coffee and biscuits in each cottage are a lovely touch. Everyone in the group had a relaxing few days away, it's like home from home for us all (without the ironing and other demands of normal life!). Would highly recommend School Farm Cottages for any craft group, for groups of friends and families.

Had a great 3 night stay in the North Cottage. Was made to feel very welcome by Clair and David. A jug of milk, Tea and Coffee as well as delicious Chocolate Cookies made a good start.
The cottage was spotless and me and my boys felt at home. The facilties were excellent and the beds very cosy. Despite the february cold we were very warm. Spent lots of time in the Games room playing pool and table tennis. Again the equipment was in good condition and very warm. We had a plethora of excellent information including maps for walks and local tourist spots.
We could have hired bieks but just didn't have time. The village was amazingly quiet with farms all around. Will definately be back at some stage.
