The only place I stay in worthing. I traveled with part of my family and we really had a great time. Nice and comfortable place, king people, great service. If you decide to visit #Tarapoto, this apart hotel is the best in the city.

After a long trip from Europe to Peru, we relaxed at the Tucan Suites Hotel for three nights in December and I was very positively surprised!

Location:
In the city, but not noisy. You can hear the Motocars, but nothing compared to the noise you'd have in other, more central hotels. You get to the Plaza de Armas within 5 minutes by Motocar.

Rooms:
Excellent! We stayed in the hotel with our son (1 year old), so the kitchenette was perfect. Bed was comfortable, bathroom modern and clean. But the best was the private terrace with views to the pool, perfect to chill in the evening with a glass of wine while the baby is sleeping in the room.

Facilities & service:
The pool is very nice and was one of the main reasons for us to pick the hotel in the first place. It is smaller than it seems on the pictures, but very clean.
The restaurant serves excellent Peruvian food and has a varied menu. Maybe a bit more pricey than other restaurants, but perfectly comfortable if you're travelling with a child.
Staff was very helpful, from the moment they picked us up at the airport (on time and with a comfy 4x4) until check-out.
It would be great if this car could be used like a taxi for guests, but unfortunately they did not offer this service. So we had to use the Motocars for transportation, which I personally consider quite insecure (especially with kids...).

Overall this is an excellent hotel for this region, I have stayed in a few hotels in Tarapoto and the San Martín area and this has been the best by far. Remember this is not Lima and the hotel is not a Sheraton, but a nice small modern and almost luxury hotel that makes you feel at home.

This was our second trip to Tarapoto and this was definitely a step up. The rooms were all nice, clean and plenty of space. There is quite a bit of variety from basic rooms with kitchenette to larger rooms with large patio, even larger rooms with two bedrooms and separate kitchens. Don't think we needed the kitchens but the patio rooms on second and third floors were very nice for entertaining. Breakfast is limited but fresh fruit and juice were always available. Dinner menu as good as anywhere else we ate in town. Staff friendly albeit slow, as seems universal in Central and South America. Wine is extremely limited -recommend the liquor store near by. Some Peruvian wine is actually worth a try.

Room Tip: First floor rooms can be noisy depending on who is using the pool. Hotel does not enforce pool hour...

Brand new, awesomely appointed rooms, great internet, lovely pool, possibly the best restaurant in Tarapoto. professionally run. Micki one of the waiters is super friendly. A ten minute walk into the town square but on nestled between the river and a quiet lane.
Would go back just to be pampered and have a quiet haven to catch up on some work.

The bad experience came when we used the laundry service and my newish Raulph Lauren polo was damaged with bleach, I asked the front desk about it and they were fine they asked if I wanted cash or a restaurant credit. I said cash was fine and i payed about $80 for it in Australia. So I was seemingly happy with this outcome. They then sent the Laundry lady to our room to negotiate because the hotel wasn't going to pay, she was (what????). We were paying more than $100 a night to stay here and she probably doesn't even earn that in a fortnight. I ended up settling for about $40 because i felt sorry for the lady. Bottom line is that the hotel should've paid and it made it awkward for the rest of the stay.

$40 or $80 dollars isn't to much for me or for a hotel chain to come up with, but it's a lot to a blue collar Peruvian laundry worker...really unfair, really bad customer service experience.

Stayed overnight en route back from the jungle to Lima. Clean, basic, located a short tuk tuk ride from Tarapoto town. Rooms are nice and clean. Wouldn't stay more than a night. Breakfast is limited in terms of choice, sun loungers around the pool have no towels on them and none provided. Overall looked nicer online than it actually was.
