“A great place to relax.”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 16 July 2014

We ended up staying three nights and could have stayed more in this immaculate but comfortable house. Beautifully appointed with little things to make us feel pampered while friendly and accommodating. Gorgeous views, rugged country, great walks, near all of Connemara: this home will be a great hub. There are three public spaces to enjoy: the sunny dining room, a comfortable living room with a peat fire each evening and a quiet upstairs loft space with tea or coffee for any hour. We so enjoyed Eithna, our host, whose touches abound throughout the B&B. Thank you for such a perfect vacation stay.

Room Tip: All the rooms are good with the same beautiful view toward the water.

From the beautiful gardens to the view of the countryside to the delicious breakfasts, this was a hit! It is quiet and tucked away. Only 10 minutes from Clifden. We had stayed in hotels in other cities or towns so this was a nice, homey contrast. Eithna's hospitality was gracious and warm.

From the well groomed lawn and garden, to the spotless rooms, this is the place to stay if you're in the area for a day or three. The owner offered great advice for seeing the area and recommendations for dining in Clifden. The breakfast was scrumptious, thanks mostly to the homemade jelly. Will definitely stay here should I should be in the area again.

If you are in need of a B&B in the Clifden area, this is the place. The house is modern, very clean and nicely decorated. It is secluded from the major road so it's very quiet. I was amazed at the breakfasts that they provide.

I highly recommend Cornerstones and will definitely stay there again if I'm in that area.

We looked for a quiet place with an ocean view and choose the cornerstones. lets make one thing clear. there is no ocean view (unless you are willing to walk for 5 minutes).
the place is impeccably clean, the room is very nice. the shower is great and the breakfast is to die for. as an added bonus you get the Irish hospitality of Eithna, the owner and one of the nicest people we had the pleasure to meet during our stay in Ireland.

bottom line - highly recommended

We stayed here after attending a wedding close by. It is a lovely house, very tastefully decorated, creative touches everywhere. Nice quite location, yet close to Letterfrack and reasonably close to Clifden. Very welcoming, wonderful breakfast, definitely better than even top class hotels. Ethna - the owner also makes home-made jam, as I do, but I bought her marmalade, in a nearby supermarket, it is delicious.
