“Great little property”
Reviewed 26 October 2015 for a stay in July 2015

The property was exactly as advertised. We were met by the very friendly caretakers who gave us valuable local information - ie what time the local supermarket closed on the Saturday - our arrival day and even offered us a Euro for the trolley as we might not have any change. Having a pool on site was great as it helped us cool off during the particularly hot weather and the loungers were the comfiest I have used - more comfortable than the wooden seats with the outside seating set. The locals were very friendly and everyone said "bon jour" in passing in the street. We had brushed up our French for going but found after we made an effort everyone figured their English was better than our French and so most conversations were completed in English - easier for them they said!
We had checked before going if there was any hospitality box to get us started. We were told no (except wine... that counts in my book!) but there would be tea and coffee. There was wine but no tea, coffee or salt and pepper. We were able to purchase all this at the local decent sized supermarket. A couple of restaurants had closed down in the village but the one that was left was good and had an ever changing menu de jour - so you didn't feel there was only one place to eat.
The only thing that would have improved the holiday (and the owners cannot influence this) is the lack of places to in the village if you fancied a drink after an evening stroll.

Liked best: The loungers by the pool
Liked least: The very noisy wood pidgeons - the soundtrack to a French country holiday - drowned out only by the local barking dogs!

A lovely one bedroomed (large room) gite with a separate bath/shower room. Placed in a lovely village onthe outskirts of Sarlat, with a butchers, bakers a supermarket and a small bar and hotel. There are also 2 small restaurants and a bank in the market square. The gite is part of a pair, the other being a 2 bedroomed and the English owners live onsite. Parking is located in the garden area, with a small incline down to the gites. A private pool shared between the gites is also available. Great location for getting around the Dordoyne and Lot area. The gite was fully stocked with kitchen utensils, plates, pans, bedding, towels, hairdryer and fully working washing machine. A great little find.
