We visited the resort in late September - sort of between the seasons, after the summer crowds had gone and before the leaves turned colour. It made for a quiet time: canoeing on Lake Galeairy and beyond, hiking in Algonquin Park and afterwards relaxing in our very own hot tub on the balcony. Our room was quite large, well furnished and featured an African theme. The wood-burning fireplace added to the atmosphere but the wood wasn't entirely dry and we ended up with a somewhat smoked-filled room.
Dinner was one of the highlights. The food was excellent as was the service. We appreciated the dress code. Perhaps it is our age (70+) but we still like to dress up for a good dinner in an upscale restaurant. Can't wait for fall.More
