My partner and I stayed in Villa Cathy for a week in September. We had a fantastic holiday and the villa was beautiful and had everything we needed. It’s a pretty newly renovated villa so everything was fresh, new and modern with the most amazing views overlooking Podgora.
Inside there are two modern bedrooms both with ensuite which are modern and high quality finish. Downstairs there is a modern open plan kitchen/living room with all the amenities you could need (including wifi).
The outdoor area was just as lovely as inside the house with an infinity pool with spectacular views, outdoor shower, barbecue area and numerous seating areas. We even caught sight of the milkway in the evenings, so a great place to stargaze.
At the villa, you are in a quieter part of the area so great for peace and quiet. The main part of Podgora is a 5 minute drive and is a bustling little town with numerous bars, restaurantes and shops. It has a few little beaches and a port where you can go on day trips out to sea.
Whilst here we hired a car and did a little road trip to see as much as we could of Croatia in 5 days. I'd recommend Krka falls as a must see (about 1hr 40 mins away). Its a beautiful and idyllic place and you can bathe near the main waterfall. We also visited Dubrovnik, Moster and Split during our stay. Any games of thrones fans will also love what Croatia offers with scenes filmed in Split and Dubrovnik.
The owner Andrez and Danijel from Croatian Mediterranean Villas were both incredibly helpful before and during our stay. Andrez is a great host with a lot of helpful and local knowledge and was only too happy to give suggestions of places to eat and visit. We will definitely return in the near future. If you are unsure, I would advise you to just do it, you won’t be disappointed.
