“Save your $$$”

The point for us of paying money for trips is to do something you wouldn't otherwise be able to do. As a family of 5 we paid $500 for this trip and were left feeling very ripped off. You can drive to Blue Lakes car park, do the same 15 minute walk and see the icebergs on the glacier lake. The drive is admittedly on a rocky road but is do-able. So we really paid the money for a 45 minute boat ride with commentary that was okay. This definitely wasn't value for money for us. So much so, it prompted my first contribution on trip advisor! Way too expensive, spend your money elsewhere.

“OMG,, Fantastic”
Reviewed 19 October 2013

This was the most amazing trip.. Getting up close and personal with icebergs and the Tasman glacier. The guides were great, they knew there stuff, they were friendly and experienced. It was a remarkable experience to be out on the water amongst these icebergs. Mother Nature at her best. the weather was not the best the day we went, but rug up sit back and enjoy the experience. Recommend this for any age group. all I can say is if you are not sure about do this tour.. JUST DO IT, you wont regret it.

“A beautiful connection to the glacial past.”
Reviewed 8 October 2013 via mobile

Imagine tasting glacial ice from 300 to 2000 years ago. Add a lively boat ride around a glacier lake, and include an informative guide and this best describes this event. The tour does not include a glacier walk, but short of a helicopter ride, you cannot get closer to a glacier than this. Plus, they make a great effort to get you up close and personal to some extremely large glacier calves that broke off from the Tasman glacier earlier in the year. So far, the highlight of our New Zealand adventure.

“Awesome experience of tasman glacier”
Reviewed 20 June 2013

We were not sure what activity to choose in Mt. Cook. We ended up with glacier explorers and in the hindsight it was a good choice. The guides were helpful and we spent good amt of time in the lake exploring icebergs. This was our first glacier experience. Guide explained bunch of things about the glacier.
