We were with three couples for 5 nights. Our rooms were great. The kitchen was very good equiped. The breakfast was fine with every day a fresh muffin. Pete and Gaye did everything to make our stay as the best stay we had in NZ.. And so it was.

We are a family of five, with three daughters ages 11, 9 and 6, traveling from the U.S. Had an amazing 2 nights at Pete's Farm Stay! Pete and Gaye were the most welcoming, lovely hosts, and our girls had so much fun interacting with the sheep, alpacas, watching the sheep dog at work, learning how to shear, and just relaxing in our lovely cottage. They loved the trampoline, and the freedom they had to explore the paddocks and roam around the farm. Our cottage was very comfortable with all of the conveniences we could need. Gaye and Pete were absolutely delightful and we wished we could have stayed longer. Could not recommend their farm stay more highly!

Pete and Gaye were awesome hosts and their home is lovely. In addition to their farm, Pete also brought us to another cow farm down the road to see the automated milking process which is quite cool.
Given how far the farm is from the town, you will probably end up having Gaye's home cooked dinner with the rest of the guests. Probably useful to know beforehand that dinner is charged at 40nzd per pax.

Lovely to spend a few days with Pete and Gaye. There were 15 in our group and the house accommodated us beautifully and in comfort. Kids had a ball with the sheep and alpacas. Gaye made us all dinner which was delish. Highly recommended particularly for families with young children.

Pete's farm is soooo popular that I could only get a one night's stay in January. Nevertheless, I went ahead with the booking and was glad I did!

The moment we arrived, we were in love with the animals and landscape surrounding the farm. We then found Pete at work in his shed shearing the sheep. Not only was he not bothered, he explained the process to us and encouraged me to try my hand at one. Later, he brought us around the farm, and even out of the farm to see how cows were milked, while always answering our questions patiently.

There's lots to do around the farm, and kids (or big kids) would be well taken care of with a kids corner and trampoline. You could also feed the sheep and alpacas. If you really enjoy farm work, let Pete know and be sure he will get you involved! I had the most memorable experience of herding his sheep down the road to another field with the help of Jess and Meg, his two friendly sheepdogs.

We stayed in the double room in the house, but saw that the cottage was just as charming. Beverages are available all day, and there is even a jacuzzi tub in the house! Weather permitting, it is just blissful sitting on the patio looking out into the fields and mountains. Breakfast was standard, but nothing beats the hospitality and warmth of Pete and Gaye who really try to make you feel at home. The only downside is that the farm is some distance away from Christchurch, so pickup would be costly unless you have your own car. Otherwise, just try to stay a few more nights, which I wished I did.

Thanks Pete and Gaye, hope to be back soon!

We stayed with Pete and Gaye at their beautiful home at the start of our holiday. Actually, we stayed in the cottage for 3 nights, which was perfect for recharging our batteries after a long flight from Manchester UK.

Pete and Gaye are warm, friendly and helpful hosts and nothing is too much trouble. The sheep-shearing was fun and the muffins gorgeous. The cottage is clean, well-equipped and has great views.

Although we are a mature couple, Pete's Farm is ideal for families - with plenty of room for kids to play.

We will never forget our stay, which formed part of an unforgettable holiday.

Dear Peter & Gaye,

Thank you so much for hosting us during our stay in November. You have us so many great memories and laughter during our stay. Peter is an excellent sheep shearer and farmer taking care of so many livestock. Gaye, you're such a wonderful lady. You MUST share your muffin recipe with us! Do let us know if you are ever coming to Singapore. Merry Xmas!

With love,
The IT analyst girl, the HR girl, the engineer boy, and the housekeeping boy ;)
