“A lovely cottage with everything you need for a recharge”

Went here with my partner for 5 days in October, this really is a fantastic place to get away from it all. The accommodation is spotless and is very large - the ideal size for 2 couples or for a family of 5. It is in a lovely little village where the locals are all very friendly, if you go here make sure you go to the bakery and the local restaurant Peppe & Nero - both excellent in quality and value.

Wouldn't hesitate going here again, the owners are very helpful and made a special occasion for me and my fiancée even more special.

“Relax in a beautiful and picturesque setting surrounded by vineyards and olive groves”

Casale dell Ulivo lies just outside the village in a beautiful and picturesque setting surrounded by vineyards and olive groves. The setting provides a perfect balance between privacy and seclusion and yet actually very close to the village for local shops and restaurants, who were all welcoming and patient with our holiday Italian.
The farm is located a short drive from beautiful beaches, harbours, historical sites, countryside and towns. The region provides a great variety of opportunity for exploration and day trips.
The farm itself has been tastefully and pleasantly renovated and is spacious inside and the outside area is great for relaxing. The photographs really don't capture the space and privacy that the rental offers. The owners really helped us with local information and made booking and planning our visit very straightforward.
This is definitely a property we would return to without hesitation.

“perfect for us”
Reviewed 27 August 2014 for a stay in August 2014

This is a great place to use as both a base to explore loads of nearby interesting stuff and also to just hang in. The house is really clean, private and spacious and there is loads of space around it for the children to play, explore and lounge around. My teenagers especially liked the hammock!
It's very private but only a short walk to the village which has all the amenities you need. Margo and her family were really welcoming. I've rented in loads of places with my three boys over the years and this was definitely one of the best and really excellent value for money.

“one of our best stays ever!”
Reviewed 12 August 2014 for a stay in August 2014

We had the casale dell ulivo from Margo and Johann reserved for the last part of our hiliday in Sicily for 4 days.
We regret that we did or could not reserve this great place for the whole week, setting in real quiet and agricultural area.
No loud barking dogs, Karaoke at night, no disco sounds or garbage belts like in some other places in Sicily like Balestrate.. This is a much cleaner area!
Only nature and a small real sicilian village with all the amenities, even a small but well equiped supermarket.
Great swimming spots nearby like Margharita bay and others with crystal clear blue water.
The house itself was like a dream for us, very private and spacious and with all the things you need..
Although the owners where not there at the time of our stay the contact was always there and very to the point and friendly.
Gave lots of advise!
Wish all the stays in Sicily where like that.

“Beautiful region, nice, spacious house, garden with a beatiful view over olive groves and wineyard, most friendly host”
Reviewed 14 July 2014 for a stay in July 2014

Very nice region, I loved the countryside with its fields, wineyards and olive groves. A convenient starting point to explore beauties of western Sicily. House is really spacious, clean, beds great, big garden. Kids enjoyed the hammock! Very friendly hosts, helpful from the very beginning with tips for local specialities. Personal attention. Would love to come again and absolutely recommed the property.

“Great location in the olive groves, really helpful owners!”
Reviewed 11 June 2014 for a stay in May 2014

A really good location nestled in the olive groves and vineyards but also very close to the village amenities. The accommodation is bigger than it appears in the photos and we really enjoyed having the shutters open to enjoy the countryside views even when it rained! The owners are incredibly helpful, emailing ideas, answering questions and even sent homemade olive soap after the visit.

There are interesting places to visit within a short drive.
We thoroughly recommend:
- a trip to the hilltop ancient town of Erice, park close to the cable car station in Trapani and take the cable car for a fantastic view. Watch out for some "interesting" driving in the city, you need to have your wits about you but it is well worth the visit!
- the Zingaro nature reserve. There are some lovely little coves and beaches. Take your lunch and swimming things, wear reasonable footwear on the hike to them.

All in all a great place - would love to go back!

“Perfect tranquil countryside villa”

Our first visit to Sicily and we are so pleased that we chose Casa del Ulivio in this lovely North West area of the island. The villa is in a great tranquil position with views of the vineyards and olive groves. It is also very conveniently positioned with basic shops and a good restaurant and Pizzeria within a few minutes walk. It is extremely well equipped and the owner and his family who live in the village are very welcoming and helpful. There are some good coastal resorts and historic sites within a short drive.
