Lived local for years so thought we'd give it go. Not over busy mid Sunday afternoon. Very nice atmosphere good food. Served hot. A decent amount of food not to little or to large on the plate. Would recommend and shall call again one day. Chow

Recently ate here with family and was very impressed with the food. We have booked to go again in a couple of weeks time. Reasonably priced and lovely food.

We walked from Robin Hood expecting to return there for lunch but the weather got the better of us. So I directed us into the Devonshire Arms with some reservations. We had been before and it was a mediocre carvery. Now, although they have a unique way of queuing the checks which involved a bit of a wait (35min) the roast beef was great, good quality kids menu and stylish interior made for a good Sunday lunch. I would return.

There were 5 of us and we arrived without a booking on a Friday evening.
It's not really a pub atmosphere but they serve some good local ales.
The service was pleasant and efficient.
We only had mains because we weren't terrible hungry, but everyone was really satisfied and the portions were very generous. I had mussels, had a really good sized bowl of tasty fresh mussels in a tasty sauce. Others had the veggie option (halloumi) and meat options and were happy. The duck confit went down well.
I would certainly recommend. We were quite tempted by the Sunday lunch, we'll have to go back!

Having not visited the place for a couple of years - and on my last visit, not greatly impressed, I was dubious about celebrating my grandaughters 3 birthday with a family Sunday lunch. OMG what a transformation, lovely decor, excellent attentive staff, very good food, really enjoyable afternoon. Thinking of booking a Saturday night!
