Had two lovely nights in Cosy Corner Cottage. Fabulous location in the lovely village of Baslow. Short walk to Chatsworth House and many other decent walks within very close range. Had a gorgeous meal in Il Lupo, the Italian restaurant- with the added benefit of strolling home after a decent bottle of red wine and post dinner limoncello. There are decent pubs, a great cafe and a handy village shop.Liz has the cottage immaculate and very welcoming complete with laden tea tray and milk in the fridge. It was hubby's birthday and she had so very kindly left him a bottle of chilled wine, so thoughtful. We would certainly love to return and highly recommend a stay at this adorable little gem. Thanks Liz!
Great location, great decor, great weekend! Warm cosy cottage in rural village location near Chatsworth, Bakewell, Chesterfield and Sheffield.
We had a lovely time staying at Cosy Corner Cottage over New Year. The cottage as described is super cosy and decorated lovely, we instantly felt at home. It's in a perfect location, a short walk into the village of Baslow and in a really peaceful spot we got lots of rest. We enjoyed Baslow and spent our time going for walks, seeing neighbouring villages, visiting the local pubs and snuggling up in the cottage, drinking wine and soaking in the bath! Lovely - comes highly recommended. On arrival we found few little treats which was a nice touch.
Snug, stylish, spotless. Close to many cafes and restaurants and Chatsworth Farm Shop should you not want to cook. Highly recommend Cosy Corner for a relaxing , comfortable break for two.
Beautiful old cottage, with modern interior. Super bathroom, lovely decor throughout and no shortage of storage space. Wonderful views from the bedroom. Baslow is a great base from which to explore the Peak District, with a good selection of pubs and restaurants in easy walking distance from the cottage.
Really lovely, clean and cosy house. Well located, great attention to detail from owner Liz who seems to have thought of everything (and is absolutely lovely as well).
Only thing I would say was that we found the village shop quite small and expensive so I would make sure to do all you food shopping before you get there!
