I took my wife there for our wedding anniversary meal. All bookings done (with last minute alterations by my request) all handled seemlessly by the restaurant. We were there for lunch and was impressed at how busy it was along with the different types of menus available. There was a set lunch for very affordable prices for an "M" star restaurant, along with a British themed tasting menu. Due to the special occasion, we opted for the tasting menu and as usual, Fischers delivered the brief with style and panache. Fischers has kept up with the times and we hope it continues.

My girlfriend and I stayed here for dinner bed and breakfast on a Sunday night to celebrate our 10 years together. What a wonderful place. From the minute we arrived we were treated like royalty!
The weather was great so we were able to enjoy the amazing grounds. It's set back off the road with a long sweeping road through some mature woodland with a very well kept walled garden and kitchen garden. It's got a real country manor feel to the place and the main building is very grand.
We arrived around mid afternoon and were offered drinks and biscuits in the lounge. The house itself is a grand old building with a grand staircase and wooden panelling. We stayed in one of the 5 rooms in the main building (there is a more modern garden annex with 6 further rooms). We had booked a small double but were upgraded to a superior room as it was quiet. Our room was excellent. Separate bedroom and lounge area with a modern bathroom.

The restaurant has a michelin star so we upgraded from the standard dinner menu to the 10 course tasting menu at a supplement of only £8/person. And we had the accompanying wine flight. The food and service was really excellent. A really enjoyable evening with the only minor downside being that the restaurant was quite quiet being a Sunday and most people ate A la carte so were much quicker than us so we were alone with the waiting staff by the end of the evening. But this is really splitting hairs.
Breakfast was also excellent.
Overall a real opulent treat. Not cheap at £400 for the night but for a special occasion I don't begrudge that price for the quality of the place.

Our room was very lovely, very quiet. But the real reason for the stay was to enjoy their wonderful cuisine. And they did not disappoint. Our two meals were very excellent. Their multiple star food restaurant is well deserved. We found the staff to be very attentive. From our perspective the room and the meals were exceeding good. A special place!

We have just returned from a glorious 2 night break at Fischers, to celebrate my ?? birthday and our 25th wedding anniversary! So, it had to be special and it was. We stayed in the Haddon room overlooking the front of the main house, very comfortable, but the bath was a bit little! We ate from the classic menu on the first evening, but I chose the lamb dish ( which was fab) but on the second night we had the Taste of Britain menu which featured the lamb again! However a word with the maître d' it was all sorted, and we had beef instead. So check both menus! Service and hospitality as you would expect, top notch. A stroll around the very impressive gardens a must, they are stunning. Pricey but so very special.

A big birthday celebration with all the family , we arranged to have a private room seating 12. Upon arrival we were welcomed and shown in for pre-dinner drinks. The whole place is old fashioned and has that "old" aroma but it's all very comfortable and friecndly. Having ordered we were shown to our dining room and the meal that followed lived up to expectations. The menu changes seasonally to reflect produce availability and is well balanced catering for all likes/dislikes. The wine was of excellent quality and not overly expensive. All in all a very enjoyable evening was had by all . Well done Fischers !

My husband booked a one night stay for our anniversary as a surprise. I felt thoroughly spoilt and indulged. The meal was fantastic, staff efficient and friendly. The room was luxurious. Breakfast equally good. Lovely little touches made us feel comfortable and relaxed.
