We recently stayed at the Family 2-bedroom apartment for 8 nites on the 10th floor. Though this was our first visit in BNE, it was a relatively easy drive from BNE airport to Broadbeach at 2am! Just when we thought we needed help, it was the blue distinctive wall that caught our attention! : )

The apartment is clean & new and had almost everything we needed save for a vacuum cleaner & scissors. Nice, quiet location with shopping within 7 min walk to Pacific Fair. For those who like crowds and night shopping, they may prefer SP instead.

We agree with the earlier reviews that the view is ok but not stunning as half of the background had the school view.

We love the BBQ and our kids had a great time DIY with the marinated kebabs & chix wings bought from Woolsworth. Great stuff!! We also like the hot spa pool.

Housekeeping is only available if you stay more than 8 nites when other apartments do offer a clean up after 5 nites. Thus, it was not surprising to find stains on the sofa and lipstick stains on the balcony glass panel.

The management may want to provide bigger packs of household items eg detergent, dishwashing liquid etc as it wouldn't be economical for guests to buy the regular sized items when the stay is usually about a week. It is definitely a wastage to discard the unused items away.

Another concern is their protocol on safekeeping of guests personal belongings. We left our passports with the manager who merely tied it with a rubber stamp. There was no indication of our name/room # on the pack and no acknowledgement either. At our request, he then printed out a receipt.

Internet is chargeable at A$45/week but car parking is free.

On the whole, our family had an enjoyable stay at Ocean Pacific.

We spent 8 days at the Ocean Pacific in early Nov 09. The apartments are really clean, with all new furniture & fittings (it opened in late 08) and was spacious and fully equipped. It is ideally located one block from the beach, one block from a big shopping centre & 4 blocks from the dining / entertainment area of Broadbeach. The swimming pool / spa / bbq area were excellent as were the facilities. Our only complaint is that the owner (Mary) who checked us in was entirely disinterested in the fact we'd requested an apartment on a high level and was more interested in taking phone calls & complaining about her staff. Each day when we went past her, she didn't say hello or smile. However the weekend (Fri/Sat/Sun) receptionist was very friendly and went out of her way to recommend restaurants & attractions.
We would definitely stay at the Ocean Pacific Resort again, but we would try to check in when the owner wasn't there!

I like many others who use this website browsed accommodation in Broadbeach before making a selection as to where to stay, we chose the Ocean Pacific becuase of the great reviews, plus we have been the th GC at least 13 times, and for the most part have stayed in Surfers never in Broadbeach, this time we decided to try Broadbeach, FANTASTIC, this resort is great, clean, new, literally accross the road from Pacific Fair Shopping Centre, great view of the beach from every apartment. We stayed on the 13th floor in a 1 bedroon plus study, the rooms were exceptionally clean, well furnished, had everything we needed, the resort grounds were immaculate, the pool area was beautiful and clean, the most amount of people at one given time around the pool was no more than 8, and mind you the resort was booked out during out stay, where all these people were is beyond me, but no crowds around the pool was fantastic, the BBQ's were always clean, the view amazing, there is nothing to complain about with this place. The only downfall to this little gem will be if its left to deteriorate like most other places, I spoke to the reception on the day we left and they assured me that they would be doing everything possible to keep up the standard of this resort, fingers crossed this is so, as we would deffinately be coming back next year. Mary at reception was lovely, as were the other staff memebers, my advise is give this accomodation a go, it's worth it!!

We stayed at the Ocean Pacific due to the good reviews from tripadviser and to be honest I felt a little bit disapointed, the views while nice were overlooking a school! then yes there was the ocean in the background.

The room itself was very nice and modern spacious with a well apointed kitchen although the rangehood did smell of fish when turned on..blah yuck-o, bathroom was average, bedroom was a good size but no tv, longeroom was comfortable and the balcony was good.

Don't expect to have a sleep in either as the sun is very bright even with the blinds pulled but this didn't bother me too much as there is plenty to do

The pool and BBQ area were both excelent (no overcrowding because the resort is a bit smaller than some) and the gym while small was more than serviceable,

Staff were very friendly and seemed more than willing to help if needed.

There was plenty to see and do and shopping is very close at hand, Pacific Fair is only about 10mins walk and there are plenty of cafe's, bars and eateries close by. Moo Moo was a personal favorite about 5 minutes walk away for a nice beer and cocktail.

The basketball just happened to be on and we walked to the convention centre (about 15 mins walk) this was a great night even though I don't really follow the NBL

All in all the place was very nice and good value but just not what i'd consider a stunning view, perhaps I'm spoiled by some of the views you get at some of the places at Glenelg or Victor Harbour/Port Elliot in South Australia

We fly to GC after 3nights stay in Melb. I choose this hotel based on positive reviews from TA. And I'm not disappointed
I've got 1unit BR with one queen in bed room and also small study room equipped with 2single bed push together.
The unit itself is very spacious, quite new, furniture is good, washer and dryer is superb, bed also good and you have free 1slot parking. So, if you rent a car, you don't have to pay for parking fee if you stay in the resort. And view is amazing. Although it's not right on beach front, only 150-200m from beach but all unit face the ocean.
But I need to remind you that this is not a hotel, it's a self contained apt and that means there's no hotel usal service such as porter, daily cleaning etc
Highly recommended for family.
