We visit Gold Coast annually and we make sure we come to the buffet. We also always recommend friends. However, this trip will be our last visit. The quality of food has become like bowling club buffet. It appears the standard is compromised to keep the price down. Good value if you are for looking varieties and not seeking quality. For those who has visited the restaurant since it opens it's door will know what I am saying.

I love buffets and Food Fantasy did not disappoint. Me and my two boys aged 12 and 13 dined here twice during our stay in Surfers. Lots of selection and food was vey nice. Would definitely recommend.

Been to this place numerous times and always quite happy to come back, good value for Friday and Saturday nights , but in the past have found the XMas lunch costs way over the top.
However this time we dined here last friday (27/6/14) and booked the buffet as part of the show inclusion, which I would highly recommend, reservations are not accepted here unless you're in a party of 12 or more or, like us, it was part of the show and dinner, which allows you to bypass the mile long queue.
The buffet has a great variety to cater for all tastes and we've always found the fare to be fresh and well presented. Would definitely recommend, but be aware of the long wait to get in if only having the buffet.

We are regulars to the buffet when on holidays at the Gold Coast, but on our most recent visit, it wasn't quite as enjoyable as in the past. Don't get me wrong, the food on offer is pretty good and fair value. But on our last visit, there was just way too many people. It's especially bad that so many of the patrons are embarrassingly large... You just don't feel comfortable eating there with people, especially the big ones, climbing on top of one another to get to the dishes. The discomfort started at the lineup, which was a good 15 minutes to be seated, with larger groups just cutting in front, because for whatever reason, only groups can book. Once inside, as I said, it was just a case of people swarming the dishes on offer and some of them (younger children) doing some fairly unsavoury things with the food and serving utensils. So it's a great place to go on quieter weeknights, but avoid on busy Saturday nights because it's just not worth it.

Have had both lunch and dinner at Food Fantasy. As buffets go it cannot be faulted if that is the kind of meal you are looking for.......Good selection of entrees, hot varieties, roasts, soups. Nice cheese arrangement, fruit and salad. For $47 for dinner is reasonable. Looking at other comments: yes you are always going to get people who overstuff themselves buffets but you don't have to take notice, just enjoy what you want!
