Consistently flavourseme. Fun atmosphere and friendly staff. By far my favourite Mexican restaurant. Mexican beverages are also a treat. Love the Sangria. Margaritas are a perfect summer refreshment.

“Keep Walking!”
1 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 19 July 2014

Arrived at 5:27pm and were told to go away as they did not re-open until 5:30pm, regardless of the fact that it was empty and the staff were standing around chatting. While we waited to be seated we were again ignored as the staff felt it more important to finish their personal discussion. Despite being the only people in the restaurant, it seemed extremely difficult for the staff to provide any kind of service. It was quite clear we were not of any importance as ALL staff chose to position themselves in the kitchen, assuming so they couldn't be disturbed by us trying to order. After we managed to grab the attention of staff to place our order, we then proceeded to see our order sit on the counter while waitress stood over it talking amongst themselves. Not once were we offered drinks or any kind of decent service. Staff were completely self involved and were more concerned with eachother than with patrons. We appeared to be in the way of that (funny seeing as we are paying customers and that is their job, right?) To top it off, instead of being accessible to customers, the waitresses and bar tender decided to open all the bottles of alcohol and smell each one while laughing uncontrollably. Completley turned me off the drink I had just tried to order for 20 minutes. The only time we were offered a tiny bit of hospitality was when we opened our wallets to pay, in the hopes that the half-assed smile would get them a tip. So dissapointed that a place with potential is overshadowed by such rude, arrogant staff with horrible service.

Dear mikb777 We acknowledge your review and are absolutely stunned and confused at your strange review and comments. For a start you definitely would have been seated 3 minutes prior to opening our staff would never do this, our Head Waiter (a male) has been on every night last week and this week so you are commenting about Waitresses (females) throughout which is even more baffling. Cannot understand the comments about smelling every bottle of alcohol this is truly absurd! There were no comments actually about the food so perhaps this was to your liking. Your whole review is very strange and it would be appreciated if you could contact us so we can find out if you have reviewed the correct restaurant. We await your advice - please email us to confirm it is in fact our business you are reviewing? Thank you Michelle D.

“Meals don't match the price”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 4 July 2014

Happy with everything except the serving size. Nachos had 10 chips, and I paid $24 for one tiny enchilada. Wasn't pleased with the entree size meals

“Cheap and cheerful”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 2 July 2014

If you are used to a certain level of finesse associated with your dining experiences, you will be disappointed by this place.
It is what it is, a cheap and cheerful place to have a quick meal and no fuss, and not too many expectations.
The guacamole and queso dips were really good, but the mains were very average.
We have eaten Mexican food all over Australia. This restaurant stands out because it was the most unremarkable meal of our whole stay in Broadbeach.
I have no understanding why my lettuce with my seafood burrito came with salsa and cheese on it. Serve it in a separate bowl, or serve it with a spinach salad or nopalitos, which is more authentic. It felt like someone trying to do Mexican without a full knowledge of the cuisine.
