The Cay beach is ideal accommodation for families. The bungalows themselves are spacious and have everything you could need during your stay. The proximity to the airport is a bonus with no long transfers, especially for those travelling with children. The pool area is good with a lifeguard on duty, there were plenty of sun beds available, but a few more parasol's might have been useful. We would definitely go back

The cay beach is an ideal place for family's... For either self catering or all inclusive..we opted for the self catering
The villa's are all set in their own area with patio.. Fairly large rooms with good size bedrooms
Kitchenette with microwave,kettle,toaster,etc..maid service as usual.
The complex has a large-ish pool with plenty of sun beds ,however it can get rather crowded.
It's just a short walk into the resort with its bars & restaraunts.
The beach is as family friendly as you can get...as is the resort.....
The cay beach is a nice place to spend your holidays.. Ok there is higher standard hotels elswhere
But there's nothing wrong with The Cay Beach Villas...

Room Tip: Try to get a villa away from the pool& bar area....it can get noisy.. Especially at night.

We stayed here self catering for 5 nights in March. (The great thing about Caleta its only 10 mins from the airport and costs no more than 15 euros in taxi.) We got dropped to the complex which is made up of small bungalows consisting of a living room/kitchen, bedroom, bathroom and terrace. All seemed very nice and ours was in a nice quiet spot set back from the road. Kitchen had all essentials excluding an oven, but we didnt use any of it anyway as caleta has lots of nice restaurants and bars at reasonable prices so we ate out most of the time. The bungalow was clean, maids came in changed beds etc but can't remember how often this was sorry. Judging by the all inclusive i saw whilst i was there and the comments i read on here im glad i didnt bother with that, it was all paper cups, plastic chairs and local spirits and seemed abit...meh.... pool area wasnt bad we only went there one day though we spent most of our time at the beach which is about a 5 minute walk away. would recommend staying here and would return.

We have spent many years in Caleta De Fuste and some of those have been at the Cay Beach Villas. We have always be made very welcome and we hope to return again in the near future. The apartments are quite spacious, with everything you need to be self sufficient. There is a microwave, toaster, kettle ect. The apartments are very clean and have good sized patio areas. we always stay in a quiet area away from the pool. We have stayed all inclusive and the food is reasonable, but this time we decided to go self catering as there are plenty of bars and restaurants in the town, which is only a five minute walk away. the beach is also only five minutes away so the apartments are very central. A good base on the island of Fuerteventura if you want to travel around.

Room Tip: Rooms on the opposite of reception are close to the main road and may not be as quiet.

Have just spent a lovely week at this resort. Firstly, all the staff are very friendly and can't do enough to help! The bungalow was well appointed with comfortable beds and was clean and tidy throughout. The facilities on the site were all to a good standard with plenty of sun loungers around the pool. The food in the restaurant was of good quality but some of the dishes started to get a bit samey towards the end of the week, but no complaints with quality or quantity. The situation of the resort in the town was great for us, not smack on the beach but within an easy 5 mins walk. Overall I would recommend it!

Booked this hotel after reading some of the reviews, should have read them all first! Booked through on the beach for our first wedding anniversary, booked double room all inclusive, when we arrived at airport was told our transfers have an average wait of an hour, after 30 mins waiting got taxi for 12 euro's and 10 mins later arrived at the hotel, was greeted by a very friendly man at reception. I advised him that we was on our honeymoon and did send an email asking for a quiet room away from pool area and was told the room has already been allocated and that is that, so he then gave us a guide for the hotel complex and a map to help find our room which are actually all bungalows. We had a short 100mtr walk to our bungalow which was at the far end of the complex in the corner so thought hey ho cant get any quieter, how wrong was we. Bungalow was clean and tidy and set up well for self catering, sofa bed and table and chairs with a tv in main area, bedroom had safe in wardrobes and twin beds pushed together (not what i wanted to see on this holiday). Went back to reception and spoke to man at counter and advised that i had booked a "double" room and was informed that all bungalows have twin beds and there are no "double" beds anywhere on the complex !! Later in the afternoon on our way to lunch asked at reception how to turn on Air conditioning and was told sorry sir that is extra so is the tv and the internet, safe i expected to pay for as you do in most hotels but for 1 week Internet was 20 euro's, air conditioning was 20 euro's and tv was 21 euro's, all this on an ALL INCLUSIVE yeah right, staff were very helpful and friendly food was ok saw the same spag boul sauce everyday and soups were a bit out there, fish soup and cauliflower soup, however you can get bar snacks of toasted ham and cheese sandwich fries and hotdogs which were ok if you didnt fancy the lunch, breakfast was ok english or mediteranian every day, we ate out 4 evenings and 2 afternoons, also this was a first for us on our 5th evening we decided to return to the hotel to see the evening entertainment and was told it was bingo which would start after the football had finished on the tv, however if you wanted to play the bingo you had to pay 2 euro for your bingo card, so I am being charged to play the evening entertainment at the hotel that I have already paid ALL INCLUSIVE for, needless to say we declined and went back to our bungalow and sat on the terrace looking at a 12ft wall which surrounded the complex by the side of the road next to a Rave/music tent and people staring at you as they walked along the road. Would i recommend or go back NO i dont think so.

Room Tip: there are no "double" rooms

We travelled as a couple for a half term holiday. Weather was mixed this year compared to our visit in Feb 2013 which was glorious.
Cay Beach has a central location close to the beach, shops, bars and restaurants, the hotel is clean, the modern bungalows have the basics in that you need when you go self catering, they are clean too. Pool area was great. I saw the animation lad doing his best to keep the few children that we're staying there entertained, my 12 year old will be returning with me in August when we visit again so I'm sure there will be more children in the Summer holidays. Reception staff were helpful, we didn't eat there and only had a couple of drinks there as we prefer to go out. We have stayed in Caleta four times now and really like the resort plus we know our way around well.
Breakfast's at 'Tommy Nutters' are fabulous €3.50 for full breakfast or
€5.50 if you want their beer soaker breakfast it's just a five minute walk up the hill opposite the bus stop and market area well worth a visit John and Wendy are great hosts and they are very knowledgable about the resort.
If you want a good evening meal then you can't go wrong with 15, food is excellent, however you have to book as it's always heaving. Nestor's is another great place to eat, massive portions, Nestor himself is a character they are moving this month to a new location on the site where Fuerteventura Beach Club is, it's a little way out of the main town centre. Fusion 22 is amazing if you like Indian food their chicken tikka masala was the best one I've had in ages I would highly recommend a visit there. The ATM machine's give you a higher rate than getting currency in the UK, we got €1.18 rate compared to €1.15 in M&S so keep that in mind. So we are returning again this year my Fiancé is returning with his Uncle at the end of June for a week as he can't get time off work in August when I am off for the six week holidays so I am taking my Mum and Son in August for 11 nights and the count down has started already. See you soon Cay Beach, Caleta.
