Description: El Patio Restaurant is a classic in Caleta de Fuste. It has a large number of tables on the terraces surrounding the protected area and a restaurant inside too large. The menu is very complete, with all kinds of meat dishes, fish, Italian and international cuisine. Reasonable price. Their staff is very good, friendly and professional.

Would not recommend this restaurant. Steak was thin and no taste even with a gloopy sauce over it.jacket potatoes were hard and looked microwaved. King prawns tasteless. Afraid no service with a smile here! Only good point was complimentary baileys at the end of the meal.

Been meaning to try El Patio for years so finally sat down here on the last night of this break.

The home-made tomato soup was nice, but maybe promised a little more in looks and texture than it delivered in taste and flavour. The garlic bread was lovely and, while not a large portion for a starter if you have a hearty appetite, reasonably priced at €2.

The squid was only ok, so rated somewhere below expectations. The accompanying fries however were so poor they were left uneaten; disappointing enough that they were of the frozen variety, but they weren't even well prepared - think crisp 'n' dry, then apply the opposite.

The other main course, fillet mignon, was better presented but just shy of the 'well done' that was requested.

Nice atmosphere, live music, a pleasant aspect and friendly, attentive staff. The glass of cava offered as you peruse the menu outside, and another complimentary beverage after the bill was settled, were nice touches as was the small selection of confectionary brought with the bill, but the lady missed out on the rose that seems a standard offering in other reviews.

Overall a bit of a mix; a 3.5, but I can't see a way to give it that score so it falls to a 3. Has some nice elements and touches of quality, but the inconsistency of the standard of the food would need to increase before I'd invite a group of friends to dine here with confidence that they would all enjoy their choices
