“Fabulous apartment”

We stayed here for 12 days and enjoyed every one of them. The apartment has everything you need. Plenty of pots and pans. Washing machine ,air con, wifi and a lovely pool area which we had mostly to ourselves. Not a sound at night. The woman that meets and greets you is Barbera and she is a lovely woman. It's at most a 20 walk along the coastal path into the main town with beautiful sea views. We had a car so I can't comment on the bus service but the bus stop is about a 10 min walk. Only 2 English channels on TV but that didn't bother me. The local pubs show all the soaps, sports etc if that's your thing. A lot of Irish and English people in this area. Pool area and pool cleaned every day and was spotless.

“Spacious and accommodating; a little isolated”
Reviewed 13 April 2015 for a stay in April 2015

This apartment was extremely good value. It was spacious and extremely well-equipped--there were plenty of beach towels in the apartment, which really saved us on the Ryanair baggage. There were basics waiting for us in the fridge which was really generous, and odds and ends that saved us buying a lot of things we would only have used a little of. Jeanne was exceptionally accommodating in providing two cots and two high chairs for our 20-month twins, and everything was satisfactory. Jeanne was also very accommodating in letting us stay late on our date of departure since no one was coming in that evening.

Barbara the apartment manager met us upon arrival and was super friendly and helpful throughout our stay.

The apartment was fairly well kept up and clean. It is ground floor with a sizable terrace that was great for drying clothes, and we felt very safe with our toddlers both in the apartment and in the complex, which was quiet and child-friendly. My husband and I are both tall, but we did not find the double bed comfortable at all. I tried the bunk beds but they weren't any better.

We were told we would have internet, but when we arrived on Thurs we were told it wouldn't be on until Monday, and on Monday we were told it wouldn't be on until Tuesday. We finally got connected on Tuesday mid-day only to leave on Thursday! I didn't try watching the tv but my husband said he couldn't get any English channels. So if you are depending on digital entertainment, come prepared with your own!

We regretted not hiring a car. Although everything was technically walkable, the location is pretty isolated. It was a good 25 min walk to Caleta where the beach is and any decent supermarkets (actually, even the one there wasn't great for fresh fruit and veg) and restaurants. There were a few restaurants closer to the apartment, and we enjoyed the excellent Chinese and pizza just outside the gated apartment complex quite a few times. We did take some taxis, but we found the drivers irritable and mostly they did not have child seats.

We were lucky that a total pool renovation of both the main pool and kiddie pool started only the day we were leaving (April 9) so we missed the closure of both pools 'until further notice'.

The kiddie pool was too chilly for our toddlers as it is not heated, but a girl a little older didn't mind it.

One other thing I should add because I would have liked to know before we went--the sandy beach in Caleta is huge and beautiful, but the ocean there has an extremely rocky and painful bottom, and stays shallow very far out. Definitely bring water shoes if you want to swim here, and be prepared to wade pretty far!

Overall, this property was extremely good value and accommodating for young children. It would have been perfect with a car and internet, but we had a really great week anyway.

Apologies about the internet, it was supposed to be fully installed by the time you got there. We were changing over from an older connection but unfortunately things do not run as efficiently in the Canaries as the rest of europe. Re: TV , there are no English channels currently but there are several english speaking programmes on in the evenings. We do recommend renting a car.

“Nice apartment”
Reviewed 1 February 2015 for a stay in January 2015

This is a well equipped apartment and there was plenty of tea coffee etc. and Barbara who met us was very helpful. Unfortunately the pool area was being refurbished while we were there. Our only problem as another reviewer has stated was the total lack of privacy in the patio. It is overlooked by the hall doors of the upstairs apartments opposite and there is a raised public walk way between apartment blocks which overlooks the patio also. The divide between apartments is not very high either.

“Excellent”
Reviewed 4 January 2015 for a stay in December 2014

The photos don't do this apartment justices. It is a lovely place to stay there is a few things which would make it perfect. The towels could do with a upgrade, the TV only has 2 channels & you have to pay extra for the internet. But other than that we had a fantastic break,Barbara the lady who looks after the apartments makes you feel so welcome & nothing is to much trouble.
There are a few bars & restaurant a few minutes away the coastal path is a nice 20 minute stroll into Caleta were you can feed chipmunks that live in the rocks.
We would defiantly like to return.

The appartment looks nicer in real life. Spacious and airy. Very homely. If the large patio was a little more private it would be perfect, but we would certainly stay there again.

“Perfect for a relaxing get away! Cant fault it one bit.”
Reviewed 27 October 2014 for a stay in October 2014

Just got back from a weeks stay at this great little apartment, its in a nice quiet area but close to everything you need.

I went out here for a relaxing week away from work which has been manic this year, and boy it didn't disappoint.
Everything you could wish for was within 5-7 mins walking distance bars/restaurants and a supermarket, granted not many but enough to satisfy my needs. If i wanted more i walked the cliff/seafront walkway into nearby caleta and what a great walk which became a daily ritual. 15-20 mins if you cut across the deserted land (be wary though if you take this walk it is a bit hard going underfoot so take decent footwear, don't try in flip flops, trust me!!!) if not walk down the road way to the beginning which adds a further 10-15 mins on your walk but its such a lovely walk either way it wont matter.

The lady who shows you the apartment and where all the things are (barbara) cant help you enough and is also very helpful in telling you where things/places are. Thanks for ringing the taxi for trip back to the airport Barbara.

To sum it all up this apartment was so good that i have literally just requested to come back out for 32 days next spring.

Thank You Mary.

“Well-located, clean and comfortable”

From the start we received the best of treatment by Vicent and Mary, they answered all our enquiries right away and were very helpful.
It's got a well-equipped and practical kitchen/dining room area and a cosy living room which we found really useful. Both bedrooms have lots of cupboard space and are comfortable.
Even though apartment complex is in a quiet, peaceful, residential area of Caleta de Fuste, there's a supermarket and places to eat and have a drink within walking distance too, and there is a lovely walk along the seashore to the center of Caleta as well.
We found that being in the center of the island and only 10 kms away from the airport to be very practical as we could whizz down to the beautiful beaches south one day, and then up to the sand dunes in the north without it being too long a drive.
We highly recommend this apartment and will return there ourselves in the future!
