Got keys and an early entry which was appreciated, house was clean and tidy and spacious enough for 4 adults.
Small things that are easily solved was that we only had one bedside lamp that worked with main light and fan not working and other bed light. As we were cyclists the water tank was a bit small and needed 10-15 mins to warm up after 2 people had a shower. Also the pool and gym was out of commission that couldn't be helped by the owner.
As stated these were small things that didn't affect our holiday and we had a great experience.
stayed for two weeks villas location is fine, facilities are fine, the cleanliness leaves much to be desired,no fresh linen or towels over the time we were there and the linen that was there was washed out and discoloured with oils stains on them, the shower curtain had black mould all over the ends, upstairs shower head broken from tube reported on our first day there and still the same when we left.the dust on the floors affected both my grandson and my asthma it looked as though it had been a while since it was cleaned
We had a very enjoyable stay at this premises. The house was well equipped and is as described in the overview. To be honest we had the pool to ourselves for most of the time and is a very good size. We had no issues with access to the main town which is a gentle 15 minute stroll, with the Altantico centre only a 25 minute stroll.
I know other reviewers had stated it was a hard uphill walk when coming back but we found it not too bad.
The only time we got taxis was when we went twice to the large supermarket on the way to airport for supplies. The actual cost of the taxi is made up with savings from not using local supermarkets which are considerably dearer.
There are two slight criticisms, not about the villa but on the overview when we booked.
1, although it states it is a secure complex, this is not the case as the side gate just has to be lifted slightly to defeat the lock, minor detail as we had no security issues.
2, on site gym facilities, when we booked the pictorial overview had several images of the gym and spa facilities. I noticed now these have been removed. We had booked the villa with this as one of the main features that swung it for us. Two of my sons are into their fitness and were disappointed with this lack of facilities.
Overall in my opinion the villa represents great value for money, is well equipped and due to its slightly elevated position always has a breeze which makes it very comfortable to sleep at night, even on the hottest days.
I would not hesitate to recommend this villa and would certainly return to it.
We choose to stay at the Marina Golf, 3 Bedroom Spacious Villa end of March and beginning April and were not disappointed. Apart from being a nice townhouse that is tastefully furnished throughout it still manages to maintain a warm cosy feeling about it. Everything one needs is on hand here. The owner (Steve and Linda) was very courteous and professional during the booking phase. The managers living next door (Jim and Trisha) continued to provide great advice during our stay. Our family would have no hesitation whatsoever to stay again.
We are already missing Fuertevantura & the Marina Golf, 3 Bedroom Spacious Villa.
Thanks Steve, Linda, Jim and Trisha
Booking was easy , however not the easy of people to get a raspond from . Arrived and was met by the agent showed into a complex with mixed nationalities mainly Spanish which was fine . Showed around the villa asked how many tv channels there was and was told tv is banned in the Canary Islands so it is all illegal . First I've ever heard of this . The wifi is 15 pound for the week . Everything is in the villa except an iron which a lot of over places I've stayed on the island do these . The complex its self Is ok around the pool needs sorting with all the sun beds are broken . The gym ( or what it use to be ) is none working . Nothing works in there what so ever and a key is not provided so we had to wait to be let in waste of time really . We left s BBQ upstairs with some charcoal . Calletta it self has gone down hill big time you see it change on a night we witnessed fake taxis trying to get women in . Spanish fighting . It's like the Spanish people don't want English there so they are rude . And this is why we will not be returning . But if you want a. Heap peaceful week away rite at top of the hill this villa is for you
The accommodation was ample for our needs. Good sized kitchen, good bedroom sizes. Nice décor. Nice to have UK TV channels if you want them. Great location for exploring Caleta and further afield. 5 mins walk to the bus station which is a great way to see the island.
All in all, a great holiday - very relaxing.
