Stayed here for 2 weeks 6th august. The complex is literally 10 minutes away from airport which is excellent. Stayed in bungalow 4006 which was situated just behind the pizzeria and small pool and our accommodation was really nice, full kitchen facilities including dining table chairs, and lovely bathroom, plenty of space for clothes in wardrobes too. We tended to use the pool located next to the mini club which was lovely and the children felt safe in the small pool, the added bonus of the beach directly in front of the pool if you fancy a change. We were All Inclusive and found the food to be good but somewhat repetitive. The snack bar was not so great so we tended to go to restaurant for all meals. Kids entertainment was good, adult entertainment was ok. The only negative thing to say is that the Queues for drinks in the entertainment centre were ridiculous to say the least - for the size of the complex the bar was far too small for the amount of people straying there.

Just returned from this resort which I consider to be the best of the Barceló's in The Canaries. The bar staff work hard, but can seem a little off at times, but get to know them, they are very friendly. We stayed across the road from the main hotel complex which was no great hardship. We had an ocean view from our patio and the rooms are very well appointed. Most importantly the air condition works very well and we sometimes had to turn it down as the room was too cold. Great area by the beach, as was the ability to wander into some of the other Barceló's, around the beach, for a swim and a drink. The only little negative was the salt water pools. But this did not retract from a great holiday. I would have no hesitation in recommending this hotel and we will definitely be booking again.

We loved every minute of this holiday apart from going home!! The room, staff, facilities and location were perfect. We self catered which was fine but kitchen equipment a bit limiting. Ate out most nights food was great in most places would highly recommend the Indian on the right just down from the supermarket. Lovely breakfast at Lins. Would love to go back again and would go all inclusive next time as feedback on food choice and service was very good. If you are going all inclusive men must wear long trousers!! We had a late flight and the hotel provided a room to store luggage take shower room and towels free of charge which I thought was very thoughtful. We were also able to print boarding passes free of charge for return journey. Onsite shop reasonable and all staff very very friendly and helpful. We did have a few minor problems with our room (locked ourselves out of the toilet) but everything was sorted out immediately. Room cleaned every day. Comfortable sunbeds good choice of pools if you want to be entertained or if you want piece and quiet. Would highly recommend this venue to friends and family.

We have just returned from a 2 week holiday at Castillo Beach. We had a brilliant time, we stayed in the 3000 block bungalows overlooking the pool and beach which we thought was an ideal location for us. The food was very good, lots of variety and fresh fish and meat was cooked in front of you each lunchtime and dinner. The animation team were very good especially Matt who was really friendly and enthusiastic! The only thing we weren't keen on were the saltwater pools although I suppose we had got used to them by the end of the holiday - there is a small freshwater pool behind the pizza restaurant if you would rather use that . We would definitely return to this hotel.

We stopped in the bungalows and they were above expectations and were very spacious. The food was slightly above average but sometimes was cold. I went all inclusive and went to the beach most days which is on your doorstep. The entertainment wasn't very good but it doesn't suit everyone. It is very windy at night and get very cold so take a top to break the wind chill. For beer it is self service which suits me, the pool area could do with a little re-vamp. The pool entertainment was better that the night and had lots going on. Costa Calletta is very nice and relaxing and would recommend this to most. If I went again I would go to a different hotel.

We flew with Ryanair from Stansted Airport a choice I wouldn't make again , the Airport is badly managed and badly run we arrived 2hrs before our flight. We arrived at the free drop off zone which is a car park area were you wait for a bus to the terminal (free) if you want express drop off outside the terminal £2 pay on exit. The check in was chaotic two many flights departing , the security was slow and very busy when you get through security your in duty free shopping zone lucky in our haste we didn't knock anything off the shelves, very stupid idea first they should remember it's an Airport and most important thing is to get passengers to planes safely and quickly.
We then sat on the plane for 90mins before Ryanair announced that the fuselage was damaged and needed further inspection and the plane was grounded, we then had to wait for a replacement plane, Swissport the handling agent staff unprofessional at one stage a female member of staff walk onto the plane and said get this lot off the plane I want to go home at 9 (am end of shift I presume ). Because of all the rushing to get to the plane we hadn't had anything to eat or drink we didn't plan on buying food on the plane Ryanair didn't offer any free refreshment because of the delay (you get what you pay for ) The resort was good the accommodation Barceló was excellent we had a 1 bedroom self-catering apartment everything was very clean and new and the staff very friendly , we went self catering and didn't eat in any of the complex's bars/restaurants. the pools and pool areas are good all salt water could always get a sunbed. The dive centre is good we went snorkelling and had a free trail to scuba diving in one of the pools .The local restaurants near the beach front all of good standard and food excellent. The weather is hot but windy, the wind is very welcome as it keeps it at a nice temperature. You can buy a lot of English food products in the supermarkets (tube of smarties €1 cheaper than UK). Spanish wine and cigarettes very cheap everything else about the same as UK may be a little cheaper. Had a good Holiday and would recommend the hotel and resort
